Kiraz injury hip not back

So has anyone from the club actually confirmed nything yet or everyone still playing connect the dots?

I understand what you mean, im coming from an angle that cartilage is cartilage and bone is bone but i agree hips do so much work, they're a different kettle.

For example, there is a technique where they drill into the bone to excrete bone marrow in order to regrow the cartilage, another technique was this wonder gel like silicon they pump in between the bones which acted as a cartilage. Im sure there are others in todays medicine, im sure they're looking at every avenue.

Well it’s just the fact that without a well fitting joint, you can have pain, and it can degenerate into bone spurs etc. There’s also higher chance of it popping out.

I’m not an orthopaedic surgeon so don’t know all the specifics, perhaps there is a way to regrow the cartilage, but in the link I posted, there is the possibility of just having the round surface capped, but that requires an artificial socket. That is the basis of why I said it’s a tricky joint. You need a nice smooth surface on each side of the joint or you’ll have chronic issues.

In saying all of that, there are other non surgical treatments, so hopefully whatever he requires can get him back on the field.

Gus said it wasn’t his back as was rumoured, but not sure if it was him or someone else, but whoever seems to know it’s a hip problem causing pain, which is intolerable at times. There was also mention of “no cartilage left” but that may have come from a Kenneler.

Wow I never knew we had so many medical experts on this forum!

Everyone calm down, Kiraz will play this year just give it time.

Everyone seems calm to be honest. We all just love kiraz and want too see him healthy. Since the club hasn't given a update we are forced to turn into doctors no other choice.

Hearing his out for 8 weeks.
Stuff certainly aint adding up. If it was just a pain threshold as mentioned then how can there be a timeline on return. Not doubting ur info just seems very secretive from the club

@Brendan7 would like a word with you

Depends how “agressive “ they are he was fairly confident it wasn’t a major setback and 3-4 weeks of the season that’s about 5/6 weeks. Now you can probably add another couple on top as he’ll play a few in the NSW Cup for sure after that (at least one you’d assume)

yeah that lines up with Gus saying it all depends on him building back up the training/work load

If he’s back by Good Friday I think that’s a good result all in all

Pretty much what he said actually the Good Friday game was a slightly aggressive but realistic aim. They will know more when there’s another scan in 3 weeks

I know it's way too early but fuck it, play our future wingers from now.

Sua and Rinakama from now. They can't be worse than Floptoya and Wilson...

Montoya was starting regardless lol
Just means he got a free ride with out any pressure on him no matter how bad he plays as there no one else to replace him unless we throw the youngsters Sua and Rinakama in what I doubt CC will do so early on in the season
