I love the conspiracies but come off it would not even be part of it. All of Burton, Kiraz, etc have been in the area of next best hardly a stretch for the 18th. What I will say is there needs to be an NRL rule where the 18th has to be from a side with the bye. Both sides, that's the rule. You pick your best 17, and then announce the 18th men a day later from the bye teams.

I knew Hunt was playing when post game Reynolds said he'd be back in a few weeks. Little tip rat has always been a liar, so I expect him to be named and become a late inclusion

He will be named in the side, probably at hooker but I don't know.

are you thinking of the time James Graham got 10 weeks for ending Reynolds' career?
Only for Reynolds to return a month later?

To be fair though Reynolds was hobbling the entire rest of that season. Graham did deserve a good suspension for that, I'd be filthy if that was done to our star playmaker too. Lets call a spade though wasn't Garaham's best moment.

This is twice in a row now that 18th man has been picked to supposedly cover someone under an injury cloud. Last game they bypassed Burton to promote Luai anyway.

So to my way of thinking, if you are going to pick someone for 18th man, you should be going for best utility value. If you have someone under an injury cloud, name a backup for them and give the player until the day weekend games kick off to prove their fitness. If To'o goes down they can't just pull Kiraz in unless he's taken out by foul play anyway. Does Daley not understand that 18th man and a back up for a player in doubt are worlds apart.

Kiraz is obviously very close to rep selection. He had to decline going into the Australian squad due to injury last year. And there aren't many people that would doubt he'd step up if given the chance. But he's either got to be the backup winger or to be released from the squad.

We'll probably wind up having him replacing To'o and Burton getting pulled from the team to be 18th man anyway knowing how things have played out this year.

Just pisses me off that there's no common sense to this. Daley clearly isn't using the 18th man role properly in this case. Kiraz can play centre or wing, but he's not a utility really. But I have more brains in my left pinkey toe than Daley. And it's questionable now if he's being influenced by Bellamy and Stuart who can both benefit by keeping us from being breakaway ladder leaders by keeping our squad weakened.

But I hope Kiraz at least gets to play. If we've got to lose a player for origin, I'd rather they get a chance to play.
 
lol DH reporting that Walsh has been robbed of playing for he Broncos because he is 18th man. What,the fuk. ? what,about the fact that twice we have been without Burton and,Mann and now Kiraz being 18th man. Lol robbed!

Well it was always gonna be 2 broncos (Walsh starter and Mam 18th man).

It turns out it will be Shibasaki (starter) and Walsh 18th man.

The question is, do we prefer Mam out against us or Shibasaki out?

My thoughts are still to have Burton at left centre defending Kotoni Staggs and Xerri at right centre against whoever they pick as Shibasaki replacement (probably Arthurs unless Cobbo comes in).

We need to stay disciplined to win, especially against their halves who like milking a penalty

they'll have mariner and staggs in the centers with arthurs and karapani on the wing and cobbo at fb

Much rather Mam be out over any of them- their form reversal has coincided with Mam being back massively. He may be a complete donce of a human being but he's a great footballer. They aren't losing anything with Cobbo in for Shbasaki both are Origin standard players. It will be interesting to see who they pick at FB, Arthurs was a disaster at FB, and fat Cobbo lasts 25 mins before he needs a pie break

I do agree Mam is a gun player.

I actually wanted him at the Dogs before he eventually re-signed and then went on his drunken rampage.
