18th man rule can be easily exploited. Origin coaches can pretty much pick anyone to affect a result of an NRL match.

It won't affect the coaches results because he won't play and he's not even guaranteed next man up.

Say if Ponga was fit to play Origin. You could easily influence the outcome of next weeks match if you name Walsh, Mam, Burton or Mahoney as 18th man.

We now have cover for Burton in Galvin so they've decided to pick Kiraz who covers for Critta in the centers.

It is incredible how stupid NSW selectors are in picking a winger as 18th man. And it makes no sense. Burton is clearly the best choice for 18th man because he can play any position in the backline and even push into the middle if needed. Why change?

Kiraz is great but if he isn’t playing wing he simply isn’t needed for NSW.

It’s just too stupid. If two head knocks occur and the 18th man is activated and one of them is a half NSW have no replacement with Kiraz. If two forwards are out NSW have no replacement. Kiraz only come into the team on a wing and the whole team shuffles positions. It’s so stupid.
