KEVIN WALTERS SACKED

But he said they will play in the finals…….Had their share of problems but with their roster should have done better.

I reckon the walker bros will throw their hat in the ring and make a play at Sam
That's best case scenario for Brooncs for sure.
There's Adrian Lam as well.
Lots of resistance to a NSW coach up here.

probs shouldn't of been arrogant in saying that "we'll be playing finals"
Put it down to extreme pressure and stress.
Broncs have an entitled attitude that they own Brisbane and now with Dolphins finishing above them this year, the pressure put on Kevvy is evident in his statement.

And they won't get it. They were pissed that they didn't get it the last time that they applied. Hence Sam left the Broncos.

Every contract renewal with Sam the Broncos are mentioned.

Either Kevvie or one of the old boys, notified the media.

The players weren't notified, they found out by the media.

Broncos were going to release the info today.

I would say it was Kev, as he was quoted in the article.

All the Broncos players were interviewed for the review before they went on holidays.

Dolphins aren't a Brisbane side. lol

Redcliffe is a coastal town and suburb in the City of Moreton Bay, which is about 54.5 klms from Brisbane.

What a joke of an administration! Sorry @Kaz that you have to deal with this shit.

I mean Walters wasn't that great as a coach or man manager. He clearly had no clue and fluked last year off insane form from skilled players like Ezra and Walsh. But the admins giving Walsh that ridiculous contract was the real fucking joke/problem. Now they sack the coach to cover up that mistake and scapegoat Walters when really Walsh is the problem for the club. I wouldn't sign Walsh ever, guy has a serious cocky attitude problem and once his speed goes down he will be forgotten cause he got zero class/game smarts.

It is if you wanted the coach sacked. Kev should never have gotten the job.
Sorry Kaz I feel you are in a similar position to the Dogs a few years ago. Have some good players but the Culture is crap. To fix the culture you may need to let go of some of the better players that don't necessarily want to do the hard work. If the new coach comes in and is expected to turn the club around with the current squad I can see you guys slipping further down the table.
Kevvie may be a capable coach but he is not capable of turning the culture around, I am also not sure that Reynolds should keep the captaincy. Culture comes and is enforced from the top down, the Dogs had weak coaches and while Jacko was a workhorse and you would never question his commitment to working hard he didn't seem to be able to foster that ethic in the other members of the team... it was almost like the other players thought nah its ok Jacko can do the extra work... but now it's like the other players do not want to disappoint Critta and try to work as hard as he does. He talks, he has connection with the players Jacko was more a motivate by example.
Broncos need to find someone that will implement the standards and motivate the players to achieve those standards and fuck off those players not willing to lift to those standards no matter who they are.

Who gives a shit how other clubs handle their business, If we a good that’s all I care about.

I had a feeling Walters would cop the blame and get pushed out. The Donkeys have a playing group that just looks like it has a bunch of big egos in their roster. Similar to Souths this year. I'm no Demetriou fan. But I think he's probably fired up at them and painted a target on his back. The Tigers back when Benji and Farah were in their peak years had a couple of coaches moved on who seemed like they decided to call out the players attitudes.

I think the Roosters are in a similar boat with arrogant players, but from the outside I'd guess Robinson to a large extent doesn't ever try to push their playing group too hard and subsequently they are too busy with their cappuccinos to bother trying to oust him.

As a rule I tend to look at player attitudes as being a massive driver of success. If you have a few too many arrogant entitled players, they'll always find something to blame for losing but never their own lack of effort. And these type of players are really fucking talented with spreading that cancerous attitude through the rest of the squad. And the scarcity of quality players these days means that a lot of administration teams have a more difficult time recruiting players than sacrifices for the coaching box.

I'm glad we've got a coach that's cluey enough to have looked at attitude before pulling the trigger on signings. We may not look like the most flashy side on the park often. But we seem to have a roster that don't give up easily.

It must be tough for a coach to walk into a side with so many big personalities. Think of the coaches who had to deal with Farrah at the Tigers and Demetriou with Mitchell.

CCs job was made a lot easier when he came to our club because most of the players were new and didn't have much influence.

Madge seems like the logical choice, he's a hard taskmaster that will get them fit and firing but he runs the risk of upsetting the princess's there.

Also, he has got the Broncos old boys in the background who will be quick to turn on him.

I am not sure that is a bad thing, culture needs a real big shake. Losing a couple of players that think they a bigger than the team may help in the long run.

But if the new Coach is not given the ability to discipline these princesses he will fail. The appointment of the Coach will be an indicator of the attitude.

Believing the myth that the Dolphins are not a Brisbane affiliated team is part and parcel of the delusional Broncs beliefs and goes towards why a lot of Qlders believe they are arrogant and dropkicks and the culture is not sound.

Manly Sea Eagles are a Sydney team. So are the Canterbury Bulldogs and the Parramatta Eels and the Penrith Panthers etc. All technically cities or local councils in their own right but still classed as Sydney teams.

Based in Redcliffe, the Dolphins split home matches between Suncorp Stadium and Kayo Stadium but have no geographical location in their name but everyone recognises them as a Brisbane team except Broncs fans and officials.

The original Redcliffe Dolphins have been part of Brisbane footy for 75 years or so and they stayed in Q Cup.

Dolphins are the first ever grassroots side from the Brisbane Rugby League or Queensland Rugby League to ascend to the NRL...Broncos (a Murikans name for mongrel horses? not sure? ;)) was just a souless manufactured commercial entity pasted together for Murdoch and other cronies egos with an unlimited cheque book.

Due to Brisbane's urban sprawl, the only thing separating the Redcliffe peninsular people to Brisbane city proper is the Hornibrook (bridge and waterway) and everyone north of that area considers themselves from Brisbane when describing where they live. The Dolphins junior area also includes Brisbane City Council's northern suburbs so those folk are Brisbabe Dolphins as well lol.

Everyone who lives in Redcliffe also considers themselves to live "in Brisbane" they don't describe themselves as living in the city of Moreton Bay. Same as Penrith, Parramatta, Canterbury, Manly etc residents identify as Sydneysiders.

This furphy put out by bronkchokes is nonsense and a sign of their chip on their shoulders about the traditions of the Brisbane Rugby League Comp of which they had no part and are just considered entitled flogs run by a bunch of commercial bean counters and wankers in suits....it's why the old boys have such a huge presence in the goings on there trying to manufacture their old culture and values from the good old days.

Phins supporters don't say they are part of Brisbane. They say they are from Morton Bay region

I have friends from Redcliffe & they find it offensive that people say the Dolphins are a Brisbane team.

It's like saying Hervey Bay is part of Bundaberg.
