Are we part of that treaty?
Did not know this. I know Antarctica is split up into regions which different countries lay claim to, and I think we own the most? I figured you would own what was in your zone.
Kind of. Originally Antarctica was split up into several areas owned by Argentina, Australia, Chile, France, New Zealand, Norway and the United Kingdom. Each had their own territory. This still exists but it holds little use for it existing. The Antarctica Treaty overrules any land ownership. What that effectively means is that everyone has the right to work on the land and study on the land. If any valuable resources are found then the ownership issue comes in and the owner gets rights to those resources if they're not research related.
Due to the way the treaty is set up though, the area is entirely protected. Research teams can gather samples and study the area but if they found a massive amount of gold, uranium or other rare earth mineral, they couldn't use it or extract it if it has any discernible effect on research or the stability of the land. So effectively the land ownership is pointless.
Largest quantity of ice in the world... and Australians are the largest consumers of meth worldwide apparently.
Shonky Cops continually instructing the public, why they do that?
Wouldn't know bro but I just read somewhere on the net that the North Pole is just ice and no land mass.
Strange if true.
Yep. South Pole (Antarctica) is rocky land covered in ice. The North Pole (Arctic region) is just floating ice.
The SS Waffen wanting to run Newcastle like a banana republic.
You can't spy on people so they have something to whinge about, I won't cope and you will get contempt.
This human rights abuse won't go away until they admit it.
Meanwhile the general public has to put up with the upheaval.
You conspiracy theorists will love this one
Meh, everyone knows that "UFO's" are just experimental government aircraft. You can trace it back to the Hitler era.
Believe it or not, aliens and ufo's and shit don't entertain me as the more plausible theories.
Did someone say ... TREATY????
I remember KE and I taking off the arm of the vacuum and pretending it was a didgeridoo lol
Thanks to Dindutown lol
if they ever find any oil or expensive minerals in Antarctica, It wouldnt take long for USA to bring "democracy" to that part of Antarctica.
I reckon they have found something.
Why all the recent visits by world leaders and even the Pope there if it's just ice and rock?
really? you got any links bro?
Give me a bit I'll find some for you.
PS I obviously can't find MSM articles but a heap of smaller news sites. Problem is you can't trust them, just like the MSM.
send me the one with pope visiting it.
I know when you talk about smaller news site articles, but sometimes they are more accurate than the MSM.
https://www.google.com.au/amp/s/www...-a-trip-to-antarctica-is-not-just-a-photo-op/ (PS it wasn't the Pope, it was this guy)
Even Buzz Aldrin posted some crazy tweet saying "it's pure evil" or something until it got taken down.
The reasons why they are visiting I'm sure nobody knows except TPTB, they are probably fueling conspiracies to keep the real agenda hidden.
PS a lot of sites are claiming bullshit like alien bases, portal to other dimensions, pyramids like Egypt, blah blah blah but my guess, and logical thinking, it's untapped natural resources. I think we have a thumb in the pie as I'm pretty sure Sir Peter Cosgrove visited too.
