I just don't understand his omission, good enough to win the Fittler medal and be selected before Frizzell and Merrin. Not being in the squad is a slap in the face...
In saying that i would have selected W.Graham over Trobojevic even if Jackson wasn't in the picture.

Do you know what? When I heard he had been picked to step in for Papali, the fact that Josh was not considered did not even cross my mind. Am I bad?

Let him have a rest, after a hard season and things unsettled at Belmore he will need all his energy for 2017

I remember Gould earlier this year criticising Australian selections, and arguing for young blood.

Jackson was one of the names Gould was pushing for.

Meninger responded to the criticism my pointing out that Gould never played for Australia.

Hard done by to be honest, snubbed over a fish headed looking **** with no big game experience who plays for manly while Jackson has been playing finals since 2012, voted NSW origins best player and is always consistent with his performance and efforts.

I just thinks it's some bias by the selectors...

Hard done by, BUT the replacement gives Australia a bit more size. The NZ pack and the GB pack are massive. You need genuine size. Jackson tries hard and boy he works hard but at the end of the day he is smallish and that will count against him at test level. Gillett is the best backrower so it only leaves 1 position in the 2nd row.

This makes no sense. JTurbo is a middle forward who hasn't even played origin yet. Jackson is an edge forward who has proven he can cut it at rep level. Considering Papalli would have been starting it it interesting to see how Australia will now line up against NZ.

They won't choose cleary over Pearce (assuming Pearce can get through an off season without sticking his dick in a Maltese terrier) but I agree, that looks an excellent side.
