How the f..k can they afford this deal after upgrading so many others recently especially Crichton ?

Just shows how bad we've managed our roster.
Back ended deals I reckon. Also there would be some third party agreements. Issue for panthers is the cap won’t go up at all the next few years, it’s likely it will drop because of Covid, so would be interesting to see how long they can keep this squad together.
That aside, Fisher Harris is worth every cent. He’s an absolute beast.

They can afford him, their homegrown developed players show loyalty towards them and the Panthers don’t have a bottomless salary cap like the Roosters and Storm!

As we have seen repeatedly over the last decade the NRL love giving teams a NRL-assisted turn of winning a premiership, especially teams who haven't won one for a while, to keep interest in the game in that region and also give the false impression that it is a very fair and even competition. Got a feeling Penrith is the chosen club at this point, it's been nearly 2 decades since they've won a title. The NRL will quite happily turn a blind eye to anything that the Panthers may do salary cap-wise until they win a comp.
Quite a few of their players are surely due massive upgrades on current contracts, impossible to keep a roster together under those circumstances unless something underhand (or under table) is going on.

They better win a premiership or it's the biggest choke in history.
There no chance. No one is chance to be honest. The GF will be storm vs Panthers again. Storm to win 30-6. The storm are that far ahead of everyone else it's not funny.

Here comes the complaining and bitching about other teams salary caps. Get over it already. People sound so whiny when they do that. They made those players so I don't give a fuck about how much they pay them.

Yeah, nah if you are over the cap it doesn't mean jack if they're homegrown cheats or imported ones in my eyes. They might not be over but every player can't get a big upgrade and you are still under the cap.
The cocky ***** will get their comeuppance on GF day (or whenever they face Storm during the finals) though unless the refs ride them to victory which is highly possible.

Well they won in 03, so we must be the next club to have the NRL assistance being that we won in 04?
