Hindsight is great I admit, but I reckon most clubs in our position would have been a bit reluctant to offer support (apart from any Mental Issues assistance - counselors etc) based on what was happening/happened at the time - hopefully CHN will see that to some extent.

I still think there will be some simmering resentment on both sides. Hopefully both can move forward for the betterment of the club.

Man we needed some good news! I'm glad CHN wasn't allowed to be scooped up by someone else without us receiving compensation.

How much longer do both players have left on their deals?

CHN contracted until the end of 2022. Okunbor contracted until the end of 2021.

If we can still fit CHN in the salary cap for 2020 (remember we've brought Thompson over early) it's very beneficial for us to keep him. I don't rate CHN as highly as some but he's a very good player for his value.

Couple of pervs porked some school kids and cost us a sponsor. What was already going to be a tough season was made even tougher because of these two clowns. Imo, got what they deserved.

How exactly is this the clubs fault when the NRL deregistered the players? I really want to know what people like you think the club could have even done in this situation. They had no power here.

CHN not happy with the club and was in secret talks with rival clubs for some time now.
Jayden wants to stay on and play for the club he grew loving.
Only time will tell though.

Surely even if both players were moved on as some people fear, then we'd have to get compensation from the club that wanted them as we have both players under contract.

Then again, I have no faith in the current admin being so shrewd..

I hope the club really helps both of these guys out. It's not about helping with only their footballing ability. But also the need to understand that they're young men who let their immaturity get the better of them. I'm sure they've both learnt a valuable lesson. Help them out and get good value out of them. Club and players need each other.

They will want to make up for their mistakes and better they do that with us and we get the benefit of it than seeing them do it at a rival club. If they are still contracted to us, get them both playing as soon as they are able to. Let’s see what happens. And as someone else said, if in the end CHN doesn’t want to be there, at least we could trade.

They did.

When the NRL de registered them their contracts became null and void. Just because it wasn't in the Telegraph doesn't mean it didn't happen.
