I didn’t say he wasn’t a good player or wouldn’t do well when given the chance, though. I just said he wasn’t in line for a first grade spot to start the year… and until Thompson got injured, that was true, baby!

Samual Hughes is another young forward with big wraps whose injured at the moment. Chris Patolo is another who Gould reckons had a great pre-season but is injured. Hopefully they will come good as well.

I really like what is happening at the Dogs now with the spotting and developing of young players rather than trying to buy big name players from other clubs. Aaron Woods and Cotric come to mind. Its good we are thinking ahead by also bringing in young future talent like Isaac Matalavea-Booth and Karl Oloapu.
