With only a few days left in 2020, I’m losing sleep as I can’t work out if gold is the ultimate in luxury or not.

If you need to buy jewellery or a watch is buying gold the ultimate in luxury?

Or is it tacky as there are so many fake gold pieces out there.

Are there other previous metals more luxurious?

When you see someone decked out in gold what do you think of em?

It all depends. Some would say the ultimate luxury is a 200ft super yacht but a lot more people would consider clean drinking water the ultimate luxury so yeah this thread is stupid.
Well show us what you consider the ultimate in luxury? If money was no issue surely you would buy some gold.

Probably would, gold is a better investment than stocks or even property.

Gold is not a better investment than either of those. If you took the market average on stocks over the last 10 years you would beat gold. And property obviously wins

But what stock are you buying and which property. Gold doesn’t have unknowns.

I said market average but let’s have fun and say AfterPay. And property, let’s say Sydney. Long term money is better in the market (not gold) and property. They both outperform gold long term

Gold $60.35/gram

Cocaine $250-300/gram
Cocaine is for once a year party on Vegas. Anyone using more than that is a dope (excuse the pun)..

Gold doesn't disappear up your nose either.

I can wear my gold 7 days a week and twice on Sunday.

You want gold plating for hifi terminals and connectors. It won't tarnish, and is a good conductor for signals.
I'd stick to copper for speaker leads - somewhere between 14 and 10 AGW. Silver is a slightly better conductor, but can sound bright on most systems, and costs a heap - like up to $1000 per metre.
