In terms of impact not sure he is even ‘one of’ . For me it is out of Critta and Lamb. To even be considered in that company after two years is unheard of. Fck i love that ****…CRITTTAAAAAAA! Fkn jealous of all ***** who saw that shit live
The one and only Steve Mortimer is our greatest ever signing. The Dogs have won 8 premierships in their 90 year history and half of them came under Mortimer's 13 years at the club including our first grand final in 38 years. An absolute match winner, our GOAT and leader Turvey. Mortimer played in 6 GF in 13 years which is leagues above Thurston and Johns.

He looks like he's going to another level with his physicality... man against boys

He's so special man we are so fortunate he's on our team, the Influence he's had on the club is unlike anything I've seen. He's the signing of the decade by far and it's not even close.

Critta
Three most important signings of the decade in that order for mine.

Critta doesn't get enough credit for the 2023 gf. Just because Nathan went into immortal mode... Critta diving on a loose ball got them going, and he also made multiple crucial plays in that final 20.
So true, I've said so often to others that comeback was all 3 of Cleary, Critta & Leota but everyone seems to credit only Cleary for that comeback. Without all 3 they lose that game.

Second time in two games he has used the dummy flick to turn a defender inside out and then throws the fend into Krisp’s face to accelerate into the try line, he is simply Elite and coming into top form at the right time of the year. Unfortunately for me he is going to ass rape the QLD back line in Origin.

One of the Canberra sponsors is a company I deal with and they were nice enough to give me two tickets to their box at the game today. I took the wife because they always put on a good spread. Everyone else in the box was a Raiders fan. I think the first half was up there with the worst experiences I've had at a game. I was copping a bigger pasting than the team at that stage.

At half-time, the wife snapped back at a couple of the louder guys and said 'let's see how loud you are when Crichton gets the team going'. This caused even more laughter and I buried my head in my hands. I've never heard her mention a player's names before in all our years together and I didn't think this was the best time for her to start.

Needless to say, twenty minutes later and we were surrounded by some very sheepish looking characters and she had become some kind of rugby league oracle. We had a very enjoyable second half.

Huge shout out to the Bulldogs fans today, I swear we had between 30-40% of the crowd today which is a huge effort considering the travel. Very proud to be a Bulldog tonight.

Had dinner at a restaurant called Such & Such and I'd recommend it for anyone visiting Canberra. The trip home seemed much, much shorter.

I still worry what Laurie might do, as Trell had one of his ups last night, everyone loves Turbo and it's also a worry when you get supposedly one of the smartest players of all time (football smarts anyway) come out and say they'd pick Best over him. Anyway if NSW is stupid enough not to pick him then it helps the Dogs who's fortunes are more important anyway.

Johns backs anyone in a Knights jersey to play Origin...

If Critta isnt the first centre picked, I’ll eat my fkn shorts… and once I’ve passed them… I’ll eat them again??

Repeating myself from another thread, but the guy is 24 years old. Ten years left in his career let’s say.. if he’s this good now how good is he going to be in 5 years time?

He has had a relatively quiet start to the year but yesterday was insane, carried us on his back for that 10-15 minutes and without him we probably don’t win. Absolute gun. Hopefully a Bulldog for the rest of his career.
