I tore my intercostal muscles once, they hold your rib cartilage together. Most painful thing i have ever experience. Had to take a month off work as I couldn't lift my arms much past my waist. Fucking horrible!! Poor bastard.

We're about 6 months on from his injury. ACLs typically take 8-12 months. 16 weeks from now would be around 10 months.
