Breaking injury update!

It's not out in the media yet so I thought I would share here first!

I don't think it will effect us to much over the next few rounds but the word is Caveman suffered a mild hamstring strain after making a cracker of a break in touch footy.

Hes expected to be on the side lines for upto 3 weeks.

e now have a total of 9 players unavailable, one gone for the year and another the majority of the year. We can ill afford another injury as we don't have depth to cover our shortcomings. We have zero spots left in our roster.

  • Corey Allan (head knock, TBC)
  • Lachlan Lewis (lung, TBC)
  • Dylan Napa (shoulder, round 10)
  • Jeremy Marshall-King (foot, round 10-12)
  • Josh Jackson (calf, round 10-12)
  • Jack Hetherington (suspension, round 12)
  • Raymond Faitala-Mariner (foot, round 18-22)
  • Jayden Okunbor (knee, round 16)
  • Christian Crichton (knee, season)
The Roosters are worse off with three of their squad gone for the year and one retired. They seem to be able to at least field a competitive side, who no matter their experience, put in. They have an open spot in their roster and a better quality of depth than us.

  • Victor Radley (head knock, TBC)
  • Drew Hutchison (ribs/punctured lung, TBC)
  • Lachlan Lam (knee, round 9)
  • Sam Verrills (eye, round 14-16)
  • Sitili Tupouniua (suspension, round 10)
  • Freddy Lussick (arm, round 11-13)
  • Billy Smith (shoulder, mid-season)
  • Boyd Cordner (concussion, round 14)
  • Luke Keary (knee, season)
  • Brett Morris (knee, season)
  • Lindsay Collins (knee, season)
  • Jake Friend (concussion, retired)

According to Buzz Rothfield on the Big Sports Breakfast Lachlan Lewis has a punctured lung and Corey Allan has an AC joint separation in the shoulder. Allan looking like 6 weeks on the sidelines, not sure about Lewis. Rothfield did say that as both players have been to hospital they're now out of the bubble

So tell me why Josh McGuire didn't get suspended for the knees into Lachlan Lewis' ribs?

It is the NRL after all and we have seen just how consistently inconsistent they are. McGuire was at his dirty little tactics all game and liberally used the elbow in tackles to work blokes over on the ground...Grub...

Lewis Crichton JMK and Napa wouldn’t be in any other teams top 17

Surely Okunbor is getting close now
saw an interview that said around round 17. Coming back from an ACL is rough. I doubt he'll impress much until the last month of the season. I kinda feel if he doesn't hit red hot form by then he'll be on pittance for his next contract

I've done an ACL myself, Its a long slow process to recovery.
Hopefully he can impress when he returns
