Round 21: Bulldogs V Panthers. 2pm. Sunday, 23 July 2023.
It is a very serious injury. They're being cautious and trying to manage expectations.
He might beat the clock and get back a little sooner. Might not.
I guess it is july then. Fingers crossed he gets back on the field earlier.

As long as when he returns he's fully recovered is the main thing. Better not to rush back when you are beginning your career. It might mean you are much closer to ending it if you forego the complete recovery.

Might be a mistake or some quirk of injury reporting?
ACL is serious but would be surprised if it takes 6 months from 'on-field running' to full fitness.
If the running bit is true, then it might May or June? Which is consistent with other reports.
No, ACL is around 9 months from the time of surgery. Even then you don't return to full fitness until a year later.

That tackle was feckless at best.

Really felt for BBO watching this as he looked to be building his career and seemed hungry to make a difference in the finals.

Pulling down on someone's shoulders from behind and then thrusting the hips at the lower extremities while they have forward momentum and 2 other D all over them really does sound like a fun time but when it's sport it's rape and should be charged as such.

BIG DOG SUFFERS SETBACK

Marquee Bulldogs recruit Viliame Kikau has had a minor setback to his preparation for his start in the blue and white.

Kikau hurt his quad at training last week and couldn't complete the session, immediately putting the injury on ice.

It's a repeat injury and caused the medical staff some concern, but once he cooled down, it was deemed only a minor strain.

The big guy will take it easy at training for the next couple of weeks and is a certainty to get a few minutes in at least one of the Bulldogs' trials before the start of the season in March.

Even when your fitness is back, it takes a while until you're fully confident in your knee again. I did my acl and it was in the back of my mind for quite some time after

Disappointed to hear TPJ injured.

So far, he has not lived up to expectation or his price tag whether it be because of his performance, attitude or injury. Hopefully this will be his only set back this year.

No question he is an asset at his best, anything less though and he is a financial liability

Unfortunately it is looking like the latter. Some of it is out of his control, so it's unfair to criticise him because of an injury. Fingers crossed he rehabs well and is back in a month.
