Our "Flat Iron" building. This was the head office of NSW Lotteries for many years.View attachment 38022

Sydney Terminal. Central is where suburban trains come in. The 32 Class on the middle road has just uncoupled from the train on the left, and is reversing down the engine road on its way to Eveleigh for coaling and servicing. The 30 Class tank is about to take those cars to one of the carriage sheds, either west or east shed.View attachment 38021

This is the "No 1" locomotive, now on display at the Powerhouse Museum. It is actually a bit of all four of the 1 Class, and has been prepared for static display. I think that it is actually on its way to the Museum of Applied Arts and Sciences in Harris Street.View attachment 38020

The two storey building with the chimney, in the background, is the first workshops for the NSW Railways. The building to its right, with all the chimneys and roof vents, is the original loco shed. This was all moved to Eveleigh.View attachment 38018

So something quite different again - Georgio Moroder (the guy in my profile pic and pioneer of electronic music) prototype 1988 Cizeta - Moroder V16T Supercar developed by Lamborghini specialist and mechanic - Claudio Zampolli - it’s up for auction if anyone is interested.
Thanks for your great contributions to this thread BW, I had a NSW Railways job interview in this building in 1964 (I got the job, at Enfield goods yard, where a few years earlier I would get through a hole in the fence to watch the activities)View attachment 38022

A work colleague was killed in this crash, it was a mountain train with only a few stops to city. I was on the suburban train from Seven Hills immediately before the mountain train. At the time I had a night cleaning job at the tall building overlooking the crash site, the cleaning contractors daughter was severely injured. RIP Chris Lopez and all the others who died.A late friend of mine was one of the rescuers who crawled under the debris to get people out; not knowing whether it would all come down on him.
He wouldn't talk about it.
When I was working with 3801 Limited we provided the rollingstock for the telemovie, Day of the Roses, which was mainly filmed on the goods line, now converted to light rail. I went on a few runs with the film crew.
We also provided the locomotive to propel the heavily modified interurban car for the subway scenes in the original Matrix movie. The station was built in empty silos near Balmain.
Hermann Goering had a big collection of Marklin model trains, and loved playing with them.
I have some of Giorgio's music in my collection.View attachment 38039

Get a personalised number plate saying MEOCS or DEALR and you should be fine or get shot maybe.I have some of Giorgio's music in my collection.
I doubt for the safety of the Lamborghini if I parked it at Bankstown Square when I go shopping.
I was interviewed on ABC 702 last night, talking about interesting stations around NSW; and any that might have been haunted. None are.View attachment 38017

It would have to be a black car to look authentic.Get a personalised number plate saying MEOCS or DEALR and you should be fine or get shot maybe.
At the old pub Grumpys at Hurlstone Park (not that I ever really play pokies maybe once in a blue moon) but I would go in with a mate put a $50 in probably loose it but all of a sudden all these older Asian ladies would flood the room. All take out a wad of pineapples and feed them into the machine up to the $5000 limit they would have a few slaps then collect and the venue let them do it. Probably why it’s not there anymore. Well it is but it’s the Hurlstone Park Hotel now and it’s crap it smells like an RSL you know that real high AC and weird scent they pump through. It would have to be a black car to look authentic.
I remember seeing a black Bentley pull up at the hotel I was staying at, in Montreux Switzerland. Three huge goons in suits got out and escorted a smartly dressed gentleman into the lobby. It had Russian plates- 77777. I reckon they were going to the casino to launder some cash.
