Overall I would still pick Halligan, but any one of these 3 would be my choice. What about you guys, who would be your 3 and why, and overall who would you pick?
1. Daryl Halligan - hardly ever missed.
2. Hazem El Masri - hardly ever missed and was coached to kick from Halligan.
3. Ross Conlon - was reliable from anywhere on the field.
Nothing in it but El Magic simply bc he was a local junior and played his whole career with the CB Bulldogs, so got a bonus point from me![]()
So could George Taylforth. All were great, chook and anything over 50m Conlon, Ross Conlon put it dead from 60m out.
What we called a "toe poker", kicked straight on, not "round the corner" like everyone today. You taught me something today, I had never heard of George Taylforth but then I went and looked him up. Before my time but was a great goal kicker too.
Im sure he toured with the KangaroosWhat we called a "toe poker", kicked straight on, not "round the corner" like everyone today.
Team First
Remembered how Chook rushed the first one Baz? Slotted the next two like the champ he was.My mate was happy yet also rueing that missed kick and then Pollys field goal going under the crossbar, both misses meaning no normal time win for us so our decent bet on the Dogs to win in said period was confetti.Hazems goal from the sideline against the Knight on full time was special, but the pressure kicks in the miracle win against Parra was pressure kicking at its best.. Both Guns.
