I agree the screens have become way too large for a mobile device. Steve Jobs would look at the iPhone 12 mini and say it's the perfect size, maybe even a little big.

If you are at home, use your iPad or computer for surfing net ... Watch movies or games on your 65inch plus tv. Phones are meant to be a device to be mobile.. minimalist, whilst you are out doing other stuff..

Like Steve Jobs, I find it ridiculous that people talk on the phone with a device they can barely grip in one hand, covers their whole head.

A guy in the phone shop flopped out his iPhone 12 pro max.. with a bulky case on it..

He was proud as punch, nodding and gloating thinking he was the top of the tree. But I scoffed at it, a behemoth of a phone, looks ridiculous. All he was doing was lugging it about all day, almost with a jink in his walk how heavy it was, like a police officer with their belts full of stuff. I was thinking he has a big pumpkin of a head so he needs a big slab of a phone to make him look proportionate

I grew up in a time when the smaller phone was best, was more expensive ericsson 788 or Nokia chrome 8810 . When you flop it out at a cafe and stick it on the table, it stopped traffic, sleek, powerful, a status symbol, put it inside your suit jacket or business shirt front pocket. but today's people think flopping out a big slab of a phone is cool, basically attached to their hand all the time.. lol haha .

The old phones were the best back in the day for social status.

Ericsson 788 or Nokia 8810 chrome.. with the flip or slide movement to end a call.

When you were done with a call it always looks like you hung up on them, people in public see you ended the call, you were important... You could almost hear the other person through the phone saying but-but-wait-wait.

These big slab phones of today Samsung galaxy note etc, when a call ends you see people looking goofy at their phone like they were hung up on, what happened bro?. The stunned like a mullet less important person.

But old days you hung up the call for all to see. Slap the flip shut or slide it shut (like a handgun) and put the phone down, conversation over, F-off.

The new Iphones should be coming out in the next couple of months. Why get a phone that is about to become "the previous model"

You're no better than a renter

I preferred the old slide and flip models. In fact I loved it when the phones all had individual looks and themes to them. Now they all look the same, just soul-less black rectangles rolling off the assembly line.

Some of my favorites from years gone by...

Nokia 8850

Nokia 7260 (never owned one but it looked wicked and has a unique theme)
