Bring up a topic such as same-sex marriage! Over to you, Ms. Gillard:

Prime Minister Julia Gillard says she does not support legalising gay marriage in Australia.

Labor policy on gay marriage will remain the same under her prime ministership, Ms Gillard told Austereo show on Wednesday morning.

"We believe the marriage act is appropriate in its current form, that is recognising that marriage is between a man and a woman, but we have as a government taken steps to equalise treatment for gay couples," Ms Gillard said.

Asked if that was also her personal view, Ms Gillard said it was.

The new prime minister was left waiting on air while Kyle and Jackie played a song - `Gettin' Over you' by David Guetta featuring Fergie.

"I can listen to a song," Ms Gillard said, when Kyle expressed concern it might be inappropriate to leave her waiting.

The choice of song wasn't quite to her taste, however.

"I'm a really kind of an eighties dag," she said.

Ms Gillard said she would do her best to be frank with the Australian public in her new role.

"I think when you're doing something as complicated as being prime minister, there are days when people are going to look at what you're doing and go, `That's fantastic,' and there are going to be other days when they look at what you're doing and say, `Why on earth did she do that?'," Ms Gillard said.

"So I'm not going to try and promise people everything's going to be smooth sailing and they're going to be applauding at the end of each day because the job's too tough for that, but I'll be trying my best to be as frank as I can with the Australian people about the challenges we face."

Asked if she would be outlawing redheaded jokes now that she was prime minister, Ms Gillard laughed and said she would still allow them.

"But expect to get a response when you do," she said.

Any woman who isn't married and is in her 40's or older is an automatic lesbian.

This, of course, excludes the gorgeous and glamorous Teri Hatcher.

You know what I'd do to Teri Hatcher?

I'd have sex with her. In her vagina. And in her anus, if she allowed it.

would you also squirt on her breasts if you asked her politely and she said yes?

Possibly. I don't think she'd allow that TBH.

I think me wanting anal from her is also a stretch. Pun definitely intended.

Definitely. You're more than welcome to watch if you like. Or we can be tag team partners?

Who am I kidding? I'll be finished before she takes her top off.

Start a kennel debate, ey? Just call me fat.
The hell?

with all the worlds problems, gay people are obsessed with getting a bit of paper saying 'you are married lol'. Im not gay and I guess I wont *truly* knows how that feels, but if two males or females truly love eachother thats counted as a relationship as far as the law is concerned. Marriage is a Christian ceremony that the west has adopted. Given its roots its fair its inflexible. thats our culture gay doods. Soz :(

Im a bit two sided on this topic
As a Catholic I believe in the sancity of marriage. The idea of gays being religiously married is preposterous, and shouldnt even be questioned. Its like going into McDonalds and demanding a pizza- even though its not what they do, believe in and refuse to serve because thats their right. Same with the Church - although everyone is apparently loved by God, its just taught that homosexuality is a sin. They dont need to change for anyone.

HOWEVER, as an open minded modern woman I accept everyone is different and homosexuals are just people who deserve the same as the rest of us. So I support legalised unions under the guise of a marriage with an official wedding....so they are legally recognised as a "married couple". Its just going to have to be monitored to ensure best friends dont marry just for legal benefits :p
