"Bulldogs also offered contract extensions to William Hopoate ($500,000)" WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK! Josh Addo-Carr signed with the storm for $120k and Suliasi Vunivalu is on less then half of what Will has been upgraded to. Both the Melbourne Storm wingers costs less then ONE Will Hopoate. How's that for a comparison LOL

Let me tell you what is going to happen in 2018, the club will announce we won't be signing woods and foran, we will be over the cap, ducted 12 points. Then hasler will or already have left the club. Dib will be punted and we will have a canterbury great as our Chairman. A coach who will get all the support from the players, let go of players we don't need..

As were the Stewarts and Watmough who thought that they were running manly All three spat the dummy when Manly decided to take back control form tyhe senior players when halser

Hasler left Manly because the club was taking away his power to sign players as the back ended contracts were about to blow up at manly

Greenburg promised hasler that he would have full control of players contracts and recruitment if he came to the dogs Big mistake

Let me assure you, if Greenberg was still at the Dogs we wouldnt be chasing our tails

We may be using the cap and leaking inside info as an excuse to push some contracted players out

Wink wink
Aka clearing out the dead wood with reason.

When it comes to the cap, never EVER believe what the Melb Storm are quoting.

Because there's a high chance (as we know from the past), it'll be $alary + Boat + Caravan.

Speaking of which, just saw the quoted amounts some of their guys are on... how are they under the cap.

Chambers on $700k, Munster on $650k, Slater on $1.2m, Smith on $1.1m, Finucane on $500k.

On top of that Bromwich brothers, Nelson Asofa-Solomona, JAC, Vunivalu, Kaufusi, CRONK (for this season), Kasiano (for next season).

IF this story has any legs, then surely this is the nail in the coffin for these 2 (dib and des).
This is unforgivable.
Des did the same back at manly with player contracts, now with us.
I deadset reckon this mug is the master of manipulation and dib aint as smart as he thinks he is.

They need to piss off, des has raped us.
"Dib" and "Smart" do not go together in the same sentence.

Ennis on Sunday said the Dogs will be over the now expected 9.5mil cap by about 500k - move any or all of Graham, Tolman Eastwood - situation solved. All three, as long as not playing together and only playing front row (especially Eastwood) have something to offer - rather Hopoate Holland go but no one would take them. In defence of Eastwood he was made to look far worse by playing as an edge runner, rather an edge nice guy. The end of 2018 much more space will be available - Abby, Morris Morris - theres over 1.5mil!

Surely Graham and Feastwood can 'retire' and the club will pay out off the books once their no longer associated with us or give them 'ambassador' or coaching roles for whatever money they want lol

I'm just wondering how bad would have the salary cap been if we had signed Tedesco which according to reports was a bigger offer than tge Rorters?
Fuck me....our 2002 salary cap breach would have looked like chump change!

There is more to this salary cap saga now.
Just heard on 2SM talkin' sport from Graeme Hughes that the club is talking to their legal team and they are thinking of suing the NRL due to what they were told by John Grant that the salary cap was suppose to be $10 million and that is what they planned for, not the $9.2 million.

The club is in a mess. It will take years to get out of this.

The NRL is in a mess-what sort of $multi-million business can't determine its budgets until 12-16 weeks before training starts for the new year.
Out of control.

Sounds terrible from an outsiders perspective. But tell you what I'd cop that right now . Fast track the change and oust the deadwood asap

I hope we lose if it gets to that point. Regardless of what was set and or said, it still doesn't explain why we have some of the shortest players on way to much coin. The people that made these calls need to be held accountable

Bug their houses so if they do anything wrong the club can sack them.
Have a team meeting and offer pay cuts if they are desperate to remain Doggies.

Des and Dib have fked us up so much that even if they walked out tomorrow, we will feel the effects of their back ended deals for years to come.

TBH $10 million is what they promised, and dont teams have to fit an expanded top squad of 30 under the cap next year instead of 25?
