Had my wor Xmas party, heaps of food and drinks.
Was a great night, about 1am we decided to go home.

We didn't get a Taxi cause they hardly stoipped and when they did you'd tell them where you were going and they would drive away, so much so i spoke to a few Journos from the Sun Heals i think it was they were follwing Taxi's and talking to ppl who were denied a Taxi ride, it really p!ssed me off that they left us waiting so long.

We wanted a Taxi from the City to Edgecliff to drop off a girl o work with, then bck to work to get my car so i can drive home, we didnt get a taxi at al.

We walked from the rocks to Edgecliff, 3 hours later i got a Taxi to Parra to get my car, dropped a few others off at there palce, then i went home.

Got into bed about 6am.

So ittook 5 hours to go from The Rocks to parra then home.

I soooo hate Taxi drivers!!!!!!

walk to a hotel, order a drink from the bar and order a cab.
cab's go to hotels long before clubs, and by the time you've finished your drink, your cab will be there.
it's the only way i get cabs in the brisbane CBD. HTH

if you think it's bad catching a cab in sydney, you should try townsville.
my record time for waiting for a cab on the nightclub strip at a cab rank?
2 hours.
even when you book a cab in advance, it won't turn up.
ffs it's chrono.

the line was maaaaaaaaaaaaasssssssssssive but we were too smacked to bother walking when our feet were practically bleeding so we sat down on the busy and gum covered walk way (classy i know) and took shifts sleeping haha

Not to mention the cabbies who refused to travel from the city to wentworthville! TIGHT WADS

This time of the year there are obviously more people out at night. There aren't more cabs on the road though.

It's silly to expect a cab the instant you need one.

Unless you are too drunk or the cabbie thinks you are a threat, they can't say no to a fare no matter where you're going or how short the ride is. Next time this happens, take his cab number and report him.

In Brisbane, get Black & White. Their training is more thorough and the drivers have to pass an English test.

When in Sydney and Melbourne, I have experienced that sh*t where after you tell them where you want to go they say no point blank. These drivers are known in the industry as c*nts.

Trains stop running during the night. The bus takes years to get from the city to the burbs and is full of freaks!
