I've got an old esky and could hack it up to make a portable air cooler, but that requires effort... and it's already hot.


I've heard that as well but think it's an urban legend, as the AC fans on the external unit blow out (as they are extracting heat aren't they?)

A tip for everyone, don't know how true it is, but the installer told me to water down the outside fan to help it cool.

I’m proof it works..it was a scorcher of day..absolutely boiling..turned on the air con didn’t work..so my dad thought he’d hose the motor.. Boom tish..it worked!
