Hodko has a huge futire. Dont forget that before he joined us, he only had something like 30-40 FG games under his belt. Still green. For us to expect the world of him first year is not fair. He will get better and better under the right leadership and coaching structure (NOT Kimmorley). I do like how we looking for next season especially with Josh Reynolds finally given a chance to show his stuff.

Don't know if this has been suggested before, but i think Reynolds can be nurtured into a Foran style 5/8. I can see the same ballsy old school traits in both players... Both play fearlessly and with a lot of guts... I suppose Romelo has the same traits, but he seemed to have backed off a little after having a child... Just a thought a i had over the last week...

Reynolds has good potential. He has some individual ability. Some discipline issues and a few head explosions in his game. Typical rookie stuff. He will improve that in time. I dont think things are as dire at 5/8 for next year as people seem to think. They should think more about thier late season form as it is thier current form, not the slump that made us miss the 8, in the mid season. Remember too we were always better with Ennis, and thier was a reshuffle to cover him being out for the last part of the season. He helps things happen for the halves and others. Keating can actually play, but needs to find consistancy. He can also be uber bad.

I thought we were better when Ennis wasn't there - Reynolds has a mistake but looked much more creative out of dummy half

the last part of the season was when we looked the best lol

I think that it seemed we improved when Ennis was out because he went out the same time we changed coaches. The whole team lifted when Jim took over and they all played better footy than they had been previously in the season. Before Jim took over we rarely won without Ennis. Its fair to assume if everyone else improved under a new coach, so would Ennis. He was our only SOO rep this year.

I also thought Ennis grew an extra leg when he played origin. Not knocking his performances outside of origin but he seemed to keep the Queensland halves incredibly quiet when he was on and had a more running role in Stewarts game plan.

I got the feeling that Moore tried to keep the Dogs playing a structured game which probably suited Kimmorley more than our young halves last season which was why the side looked a lot better under Dymock who encouraged them to spread the ball when they felt like it.

Reynolds has some potential and showed that he can sniff out a gap & has the acceleration & pace to make use of it. I think we'll see a lot more of him next season but i guess that Hasler will have some tough decisions to make about who gets that #6 jersey. I wouldn't mind seeing

6. Reynolds
7. Hodkinson

9. Ennis

14. Romelo (back up hooker, 5/8, second row if needed)

You guys are kidding...

Reynolds can't tackle, can't pass, can't organise and can't kick.
However he is very good at making stupid mistakes, giving away dumb penalties and killing potential attacking raids.

HE IS NOT & NEVER WILL BE A 5/8 !

You guys must be talking about someone else?

I have every confidence Hasler and Crusher will snuff out a star half from within our club. I can't wait to see how this all pans out. Interesting times ahead.

We might not expect immeidate results. But the main thing is - Hasler offers HOPE. It's been missing for several years. We have HOPE a proven premiership coach can build this club again.

No I'm talking about Reynolds. I think you guys are looking through rose coloured glasses.

Keating? Ha! He's worse than that... We need Foran for sure.

I'm not sure Liam Foran would benefit the team as much as Josh Reynolds though.

I'd be happy if we gave Romelo more time to develop in the position.

He can tackle and we need to fix our defence before anything else!

Foran would be a good addition but not needed,Reynolds will need a bit of work but will be worth it.A good coach like Hasler can develop potential like Reynolds and other rookies with raw skill

Reynolds for 5/8 we need his creativity. If keating is the 5/8 chosen then have reynolds on thr bench and come on later in the match with impact

I would definately like to see reynolds given a go @ 5/8, what he he has is aggression of which we are short of but he needs to tame that aggression
don't go overboard with the stupidity that is his main problem & when he loses it he gives away to many stupid penalties at critical times.
