Manly Warringah Sea Eagles are pleased to announce the signing of experienced half Trent Hodkinson, effective immediately.

Hodkinson, 29, has signed for the remainder of this season and for 2019.

His move to Narrabeen from Cronulla Sharks marks a return home to the Sea Eagles with Hodkinson making his NRL debut for Manly in 2010, playing 24 games that season.

Since then, Hodkinson has played 160 NRL matches with stints at Canterbury, Newcastle, and Cronulla.

He has also represented NSW on six occasions.

Sea Eagles Coach Trent Barret said Hodkinson brings plenty to the team.

"Trent's experience and game management will be of enormous value to us,'' Barrett said.

"As a person, Trent is also highly respected for the wonderful amount of work he does in the community, so he will bring plenty to the Club on and off the field. This is a great signing for Manly."

Must have got a pensioner discount.

Round 13 - Thursday 31st May Manly vs Cowboys will be his first game at Lottoland, and given that surface is destroying perfectly good AC/PC/MC knee ligaments and ankles, I expect Hodko and his bodgy knees to be worried.

Surely this means though that Hastings is GONE.

Wow three clubs in two years ( a total of 5 over 8) , not bad..that is one record Cam won't ever break.

Good on him...has not had much luck over the years hope this one is worthwhile for him back to where it all began......

I don’t think Hastings will be fired. If another club doesn’t want him they’ll just leave him in NSW Cup for the rest of the season and then his contract is up anyway

Hokko was the last halfback to win SoO for the Blues. In fact, HE SCORED THE TRY AND CONVERTED IT IN GAME 2 WHICH ULTIMATELY DECIDED THE SERIES AS THEY WERE THE BLUES ONLY POINTS!

It's actually not immediately, he has to get his walking frame resprayed white and maroon and his scooter transported to his new unit.
