hazem el masri is a true gentleman.it is the perfect time for him to retire knowing how our club is now run.it is a massive achievement when you consider everything against him (small,slow,his background etc) to be considered one of the best wingers to have played the game.to last at a club like the bulldogs for his whole career even without all of his records speaks for itself.no other player in the nrl is more deserving of winning the premiership than hazem elmasri.ynwa

A man from very humble beginnings has come up to be one of the most respected figures in the great game that is rugby league. I have had the privilege of watching hazem live for many many years and personally i think he has been a great representation of this club.

This man has shown great determination and has always led by example, no matter what nationality you are, which religion you practice or even what team you follow there is no denying that hazem is not only a legend of canterbury but also a legend of rugby league.

This sunday will be last time i will be able to cheer for this great man at our home ground and i know i will not be the only one that will miss him and the thought of somebody else wearing the no. 2 on his back hasnt still sunk in.

Thank you hazem for the countless memories and staying loyal to our great club.
 
I am not about to make it to the game today.. But I want to buy one of those black elmagic shirts.. do you know if the bulldog store will have them after this weekend.. :( :(

I didn't make it to the game (stupid work), but caught the game on TV and the little part at the end where they showed Hazem's speech. I'm not ashamed to admit it, I cried like a big sook. Thanks Haz, big big big big boots to fill :(
