Look out for a possible swap deal with Hastings and Luke thompson
Early stages at the moment
But Hastings definitely doesn’t want to play lock
He sees himself as a half
Also tigers going all in for Mitch Moses isn’t good news for Hastings.

lunch meeting between sheens and Gould today will uncover if this is on the cards or not.

Sounds good to me.

I hope Tigers can sign Moses back. He and Douehi would be a good halves pairing for them.

Brooks to Newcastle, Arthur's son replaces Moses. Only player that would need to find a home would be young Flanno.

They have the unfathomable situation of having a halfback in Kyle Flanagan chewing up the salary cap while playing reserve grade, such is the lack of faith coach Trent Barrett has in him.

Flanagan is on $450,000 this year, but that shoots up to about $600,000 in 2023. The Bulldogs might be prepared to pay a lot of that if another club took him off their hands, but how many clubs are lining up to sign Flanagan while he’s languishing in reserves, unwanted by the Roosters and now the Bulldogs?

I'm going to suggest that Wily old Gus may also be trying to get some key intel on what the Tigers plan to offer Moses and may be looking long term there, while having some potential swap conversations.

I think it would be wise for Tigers to let Brooks go to the Knights if they're still interested and keep Hastings as a half.

According to my reliable source, Flanagan signed on for 1.2 million dollars for 3 seasons, The Rorters paying approximately $200k for the first season, as for the balance who knows how it was brokered down.

They’re going in big for Mitch Moses
They can still lose Hastings and brooks but brooks is on 1.1m $$$ next year
Hard to move him on unless newc are that dumb to pick up his entire freight

it's not as if Tigers management are capable of landing someone as high profile as Moses but it doesn't bode well for Hastings that in his first season at the club they are openly discussing targeting Moses and have already moved Hastings from halfback to lock

surely the Greater Campbelltown region has plenty of juniors that the Tigers could use not to mention Balmain's junior base as well
