I think Wests will be the biggest winners out of this. As I understand it moving on Hastings was the stumbling block in the Bateman negotiation. Bateman would not agree to terms unless Hastings was gone. Also Sheens and Hastings do not get along. So Wests get two forwards and get rid of someone that they wanted to move on anyway. While Knights lose the player voted as the teams best for a broken down half that seems to rub almost evreyone the wrong way.

I think Ofahengaue starts, Sheen's also wants a ball playing lock so Talau might end up there. Either way their recruitment has been excellent, definitely addressed key holes in their squad.
There outside backs are shit. If they sign one or two good ones then they will improve massively.

Old dogs going to tigers, it's like the circle of life for a Canterbury player

Wonder why Klemmer wanted out?
Hastings looks like a creative fooker, fair deal.

Supposedly the Knights want to move Ponga to 5/8th with Hastings at halfback.. Ponga doesn't play is well in the halves. He can barely handle the physicality or defence at fullback, he won't last more than a few games tackling in the front line and will be a liability defensively..

So the tigers get to watch Klemmers hop skip and a jump into defensive line first hand, oh and he’s slow motion backwards march for and extra 3 post contact meters. Someone that size with apparent ball skills, should be offloading every hit up

To many people focus on stats in the game. He gets good meters every game but so what, makes next blokes run harder all the time.
