Elevated to the Top 30 well after Hasler was gone.
Yeah but didn't Hasler play a part of getting him over there. Remember the club picked him up while still at school in NZ

Absolutely, you're right that Hasler brought him over, but surely we shouldn't just let go of a kid on the basis Hasler signed him if he has talent or can be used in some way. I'd certainly rather see Harper running around for us this year than Lafai.

100% agree the club should have kept him - but he was being overlooked. He had a good pre-season and played well in the nines but Pay didnt utilise him instead played guys out of position. This change for Harper may well be the true making of him

From what I've seen of him in CC he's a smart footballer but nothing flash. He has a good footy brain but he doesnt have the speed, footwork or raw power/fend that a good center needs so I was happy to see him go. I think Schoup is better than him anyway

In saying that he still shits all over Holland, Montoya and Smith combined so why did we let him go yet we continue to give those plodders game time. Honestly Pay and SG would have to be 2 of the dumbest coaches in the NRL in the last 20 years - none of their decisions make any sense.

Why? He is another fringe first grader we don’t need. Exactly like holland

Same with Josh Cleland, ISP Player of the Year. (Someone rated him). Never got a FG game.

Not saying he was a World beater but did what was asked of him and never given a go when we were absolutely desperate for organising halves. They preferred Lewis.

Missed tackles and drop ball stats would be interesting

I don't rate harper all that highly... But I certainly rate him higher than both Montoya and Holland
