A solid 38-16 win for the Bulldogs Harold Matthews Cup team against the Western Suburbs in their quarter final game has advanced the young dogs into the semi final next week.
The team will need to come up a gear next week against the Illawarra Steelers.
Front rowers Watson Namoa and Sami Ghoniem both laid the platform for the win today with strong games.
Captain and centre Joseph Sooalo was a big worry for the Magpies and will be a prominate force for the big games ahead.
