Barrett had it in his power to keep CHN. In his power completely.

CHN's manager has been talking up this possibility all week saying that Barrett being the coach could manage to keen CHN. But as soon as Barrett is announced then news of CHN going comes out immediately, which clearly indicates that Barrett really didn't want to keep him.

What does that tell you? We can say our club is a bunch of idiots, but the new coach himself clearly didn't want to keep him either.

I have been a vocal supporter that CHN & Okunbur were harshly dealt with by the NRL originally. I think there current punishments is closer to what should have happened originally.

When we first signed CHN and the Tyrone May thing was going on, I remember a number of Penrith players had it in for him to the point where the NRL Integrity Unit interviewed him in that whole mess. He was clearly disliked by the playing group.

Then he takes a school teacher back to a team hotel and then repeats it with a school girl he met on Tinder. He is clearly a repeat offender.

I have come around to the idea that no matter how good a footballer he is that maybe he just isn't good enough for a club like us that gets the scrutiny from the media like we do.
