Yeah the fact this is happening in a bye week during Origin isn’t a coincidence which suggests to me the club anticipated there would be a storm around it.

The main thing I’m curious about is how do our senior players feel? Are Crichton, Kikau, Mann, King, Burton, etc on board with the approach? If they’re happy to bring him into the team and think he’ll help win games then there should be no issue.

If a player is prepared to give up over a million dollars because they want to be part of your organisation is a strong starting point.

I'd also say this isn't band camp.

I get that we want harmony within the playing group, and that they're there for each other. Totally understand it.

Above all though these lads play to win.

When Galvin comes and shows the right attitude plus desire to play for the Blue and Whites, the players will back him as hell help them win..

It worked, but both were rattled. It made for uncomfortable viewing. Even Bracey and Smith looked awfully uncomfortable.

This all comes back to why Gus didnt just say back in April that whilat we are happy with our system, if any top player or prospect came onto the market, they will discuss it internally. Full stop.

Could have said it about Galvin, DCE, etc.

Its hard being on TV as often as he is and not be put in a position to answer questions you dont like. Sooner or later, youll be forced to lie.

I just dont know why he plays the non-liar card when he's in a position to be exactly that if he's to do his job as a GM well.

Chamus got cut cause he didn’t get to break the story and had to accuse Gus of miss leading the public.
Gus handled it like a champ and if you think he embarrassed himself then you obviously haven’t been watching 100% footy.
He always says the same things about the jurnos and the media.

But i dont lose my moral compass if the Dogs do something i dont agree with.

In this instance, i dont think we as a club did anything wrong in going after Galvin when he announced he wasn't staying at Tigers. I applaud it.

And i dont really mind if Gus had to tell a white lie bavk in April when quizzed on it. But trying to backtrack now and prove he wasnt lying is abit of a cop-out.

Id rather he just smirked and said "i couldn't reveal at the time".

Isn’t it funny they never mention this point aside from the fact he just openly said before anyone that he wanted the tigers to have breathing space and that he wouldn’t be re signing with them so obviously he was gonna leave. It’s not like he said he was gonna sign then get poached , tigers granted his release. Tbh no one has any idea about what’s going on internally, for all we know sexy is happy or galvins off the bench as 14 like hayward. I wouldn’t be surprised if that’s how ciro uses him for now

Why can’t we be friends, why can’t we he friends fkn lol can’t really comment on this because I was busy doing other things… I’ll say this though, some on here have been anti Gus from the get go and this just seems like an opportunity to get some shots in while they can, because there has been fuck all else to complain about since he took over the job. Seriously just grow the fuck up.

The amount of 20 year old guys I play against that have back troubles is crazy. Even the kids I coach have back troubles and other injuries they shouldn't get. Doesn't make me feel as bad at 42 when I have back tightness all day. Haha

It does prove that players need to be so careful in choosing their Agents.

Seems like if they are smarties or don't get on with club CEO'S it can drastically affect your career.

Seems like you're better off not having one.
 
Like Gus or not, if you support the club then you have to be happy with the results that are speaking for themselves and these are due to his actions and influence.

Would you rather have the dogs in the dump where they have been since Des left or be where we are now/moving towards and have Gus involved, anyone that says without Gus needs a head check.
 
It must be so frustrating for Gus and others in the know to listen to vermin like chammas claim they know something but have to be quiet. They just throw shit at the wall and hope it sticks, then in this case, they didn't get the insider info they were hoping for so have turned on Gus and now saying he's mislead people... Um he was asked about a player last year, he was / is paid to critique players and he does all the time, he gave Galvin a glowing review and now it's called tapping up? Tigers didn't mind it when Gus said it last year, you didn't see people whinging saying he's being tapped up?

NRL journos think they're owed something
