Getting the right coach is important for 1st grade and SG ball. Griffin gus and the team that set up did a great job in the riff. Gus even Siad Griffin played a massive part and has a great eye for talent. If it take a head coach and a head of development to run the juniors than that's what is needed. Both rolls under the head of football who runs the football department from Top to bottom. Ceo sticks to business we don't see Hill anyway. The board shit the fuck up and rubber stamp shit.

I believe the Tigers will pay ~700-800k to keep Grant. Grant will also have interest from other clubs. We have to offer more than that to get Grant. Not rocket science. Also I would of said ~1m or thereabouts. I also use this ~ to protect myself from trolls. There are multiple people on these forums who think we're going to sign players for what they're worth.

If you're in charge of the Bulldogs right now how many players do you need?

When the Bulldogs are 500:1 to win, 1000:1 to win the premiership this year, they're no chance (winning the premiership).

They've got money to spend but where are they going to go buy the players?

The only place they can go buy the players is from other clubs. Which is going to weaken them and it's going to weaken themselves in the long run because they're going to have to pay more to do it (overs).

If you're solely based on recruitment, you will eventually end up in salary cap problems.

You have to have a development program underneath that's producing good young talent coming through. You look at the teams that are doing well this year, the Panthers, Roosters, Knights and Raiders have gone through this process.

I agree with this now more than ever. Bring Hook in as Football director so they can save face with Pay and bring in Ennis.

Griffin will certainly develope our juniors and programmes for the long term and bring some much needed disapline . (Mad monday, Port etc..)

He can help Ennis or even Pay to be 1st grade coaches and will be attractive to top players on the market.

I agree with this now more than ever. Bring Hook in as Football director so they can save face with Pay and bring in Ennis.

He can help Ennis or even Pay to be 1st grade coaches and will be attractive to top players on the market.

Hook may prefer to be in charge up top but we lack that 1 person who can give us confidence the we are heading in a direction. I don't see any path that we are heading . We have been trying to recruit when we had des. We ended up with foz n woods. Lichaa n Abbey

Currently it's hard to recruit because all those lower grades aren't playing. So you can only go on how they went last year. Who knows if they are trending up or down. Not the ideal situation for a rebuild of a club.
