I agree Griffin is the better option and a 55% record over 170 plus games is a proven record. He's also done well rebuilding teams.

My only issues with him are he has no personality (Hook makes Folkes, Moore, Des and Pay look like the cast of SNL) he's a hardass which is a good thing short term but the players tune him out after a while...

He's also a defensive coach and not great tactically and it would be nice to have an attacking coach after ten years of Desball.

They seem pretty far down the road with Barrett though so we'll see what happens.

55% is more to do with him taking over a successful coach in cleary (strangely sacked) and taking over Bennett (left a decent team).

Hes never got a gig out of the birth of poor resukts.

Brown fostered a shit culture with the players at Newcastle, it was why he got sacked.

We don't need that.

He got the current roster at the Knights, Ponga, Pearce, Watson etc, etc. He took no shit & prevented a toxic culture, that’s why the likes of Ramien were shown the door.

It'd be great to have Griffin in some capacity with Barrett, be it an assistant coach or coaching advisor.
Just someone who can do the rebuild and let Barrett coach.
