Has anyone bought at auction on this site before?

Past experience tips and tricks to win an auction would be great.

Haven't bought from there in a long while. It got pretty bad and apparently has only gotten worse recently.

You can find some good bargains but you have to be careful. There's many who false advertise on it. If anything has a minimal description then they're usually hiding something.

I lost the bid. Actually I tapped out. Went well over my budget. Had the missus standing behind me watching me in case I stretched my bid lol.

Oh well, at least I’ve saved some cash.

I dont buy from them, but they are the largest player in my field (insolvency), so I have used their services dozens of times. Generally happy from my end, but not a big user of online auction platforms so can't help you there!

I used to buy wine on Gray’s but haven’t for a long time. I got the feeling bots started pushing up the bids so went elsewhere.

Yeah there are either some really stupid people bidding or there are bots. Some of the prices paid for fairly recent release wines at 20% over retail just doesn't make sense.

i used to 10+ years ago would get the occasional bargain not sure now though

Just be aware they charge an additional 10% on the final price. And the delivery charges are massive.
