Canterbury has built a history of producing results under adversity and the Bulldogs face another test of character this Friday night that has the potential to derail their entire NRL season.

The Dogs are delicately placed in eighth place and with a host of teams gaining momentum behind them captain James Graham knows his side is under pressure to rediscover a winning formula.

We're in a very delicate spot at the minute. We just need to start getting some results Graham said.

We need some wins to cement our spot in the eight. We're only in there on points difference. It's such a fine line so we're really trying to focus on staying in the eight.

Two consecutive losses has the 2014 Grand Finalists staring at the possibility of missing the NRL finals for the first time since 2011 and they head to Suncorp Stadium for one of the toughest road trips in the competition against Brisbane.

After enduring the agony of a 52-6 thrashing with New South Wales in Origin 3, Trent Hodkinson knows what to expect but he's confident of having more success with the Bulldogs.

It's always tough up there at Suncorp but I have full confidence we can get the job done.Hodkinson said.

By their own admission, the Bulldogs form hasn't been great and the same could be said about their timing with the Broncos expected to be more fired up than usual after an embarrassing 30 point hiding against Manly last Saturday.

Coming off the loss that they did its not the best time to get them Hodkinson said.

Its always tough up there at Suncorp but I have full confidence we can get the job done.

Hodkinson believes the Bulldogs most dangerous opponent comes from within and if they can win the mental game it will translate into success on the field.

“There are little things like unforced errors that won’t too much to fix but hopefully we can do that this week. ” he said.

Like Hodkinson, Josh Jackson also has unhappy memories of his last visit to Brisbane with the Blues and is expecting another hostile reception on and off the field.

They're the frontrunners of the competition and they've been playing well all year so I'm sure they'll bounce back after a loss like that Jackson said.

It'll be tough especially up there in Brissy in their hometown. We'll just prepare during the week and get there and do our best.

Canterbury is also coming off a demoralising result despite showing great fighting spirit to come back from 22 points down against the Roosters.

It's disappointing to lose when you go ahead with ten minutes to go like that but we've got to take the positives out of it Jackson said.

Dogs coach Des Hasler is famous for instilling a siege mentality into his teams and Frank Pritchard hinted they've already adopted the us against them mindset.

We've sure copped a lot Pritchard said.

We haven't won many penalty counts this year so hopefully things change over the next couple of weeks.

Canterbury and Brisbane locked horns just three weeks ago with the Broncos prevailing 16-8.

Graham fears finals failure... You need to be in the finals to fear them. We won't make the finals, hence nothing to fear.
His talking about his fear of losing in the finals

Grahams lost about 7 grand finals now? You'd think that feeling would be gone by now.

Where were the words "fear" and "failure" quoted by any player?

All they said was, we need to win a few games to get into the finals. Then, as usual, this hack journo has completely changed the angle of the story and fabricated a headline off quotes that gave him nothing.
