Dogs Looking To The Future

The Bulldogs have invaded New Zealand, with a group of the club's coaching and development staff tutoring 60 of the best young Kiwis in Auckland last weekend.

Some 40 teenage boys and 20 girls were put through their paces by Bulldogs staffers Barry Ward, Adam Hartigan and Luke Goodwin.

"It was a great weekend and we have some very talented kids there that we have put in a pathways program," Ward said.

"We did a lot of testing and skills work as well as talks on welfare and the kids loved it."

Most were aged 14 to 17 and the plan is to let them finish their education in New Zealand and then bring some over here to Sydney.

"It's a long-term project but we are working for the future."

Some of those 20 girls would probably have outperformed some of the useless knobs that have been in our First Grade team over the past few years. Only issue would be Knockonbur would've tried to shag them all.
