He'd argue that 1+1=3 until you give up and leave, then he'd call you and continue on.
 
Yes we were pure shite in that first 40 minutes, BUT

Before today's match:

The Canterbury Bulldogs have a very poor record when Gerard Sutton is the referee, winning only one out of their last 15 games with him officiating. This translates to a win rate of just 6.67%.

Stayed true to form … any chance he gets he takes to ping the Dogs..

Be interested to know if three sin bins at 10:13 - 33:22 - 52:09 for the same team is a record.. or four for the one game with Mariner at 72:07… close enough to every 20 minutes from the first one…

On to the next round.. GO THE DOGGIES …

I don’t think we can complain about the sin bins. Sitili probably should have been sent for the knee a tackle before Montoyas. And they missed Burton shoulder charging to the head but he got on report.

Agree about Sutton in every other aspect
 
Look, I hate blaming a ref for a lose, because if you are good enough most times you find a way. This game we didn’t deserve to win, Broncos turned up ready.

That all said, Cheat was at his best again tonight. Every time Cheat is assigned to us I know it’s going to be tougher than usual. It’s just a shame the club can’t officially complain to the NRL about Cheat and his relentless hate campaign against us.

Again though, to be clear, not saying Cheat was the reason we lost.
 
Blaming the ref for tonight’s loss is as embarrassing as the rabbits supporters blaming the ref for last weeks loss.

Dropped ball, 7 tackle sets, missed tackles, charge downs.

The first two sin bins were fair enough and were bunker calls anyway not Suttons

Don’t get me wrong, that loss was on us, not on Cheat. We only have ourselves to blame. Tonight we made it easy for him.
 
the only bad decision was the montoya sin bin every other decision was correct and fair.

got ourselves to blame for this loss with poor discipline with the ball and without it
 
I’m not one for blaming the ref but he does make a major impact on a game. I’m not denying that alot of calls and bins are because we done some really stupid shit tonight. But people don’t understand the few penalties he got broncos out of there half when they scored early cause of our stupid mistakes. He just kept giving broncos every call first half and at 70% possession it was lost in the first 30. So yes the club needs to put in a complaint and ask to never be reffed by this scum again. The last win from memory with this **** was a 1 point field goal and he was giving the other team so much leg ups.
 
As much of a **** as he is, no one should be blaming reffing tonight. We were shit. The Broncos were the better team. We lost the plot and were ill disciplined. We'll learn from the loss and bounce back next week. Good teams don't make excuses and take accountability

He missed the forward pass.
He called held early every time we tackled them.
He didn’t call held when they laid on us.
They looked offside all game and were faster to move off their line than any other team I have seen.

The **** didn’t win them the game. He just ensured the score line embarrassed us
 
We gave him reason to fuck us, but you could tell the little fucker was enjoying being the center of attention lol
 
Has anybody asked Gus about Sutton. Somebody should send him a message on twitter. Would love to know his response.
