... BUT... our beloved Robot Bender might be recast!

Futurama Season 8 will feature 20 episodes and will see David X. Cohen and The Simpsons creator Matt Groening return. As for the cast, most original voice actors are already confirmed to be returning including Billy West, Katey Sagal, Tress MacNeille, Maurice LaMarche, Lauren Tom, Phil LaMarr, and David Herman. The notable exception is Bender’s voice actor John DiMaggio, who isn’t currently attached. However, Variety says that producers are hopeful that DiMaggio will return, although he’ll be recast otherwise.

“When presented with the opportunity to bring fans and viewers new episodes of Futurama, we couldn’t wait to dive in,” said Craig Erwich, president of Hulu Originals and ABC Entertainment. “This iconic series helped blaze the trail for the success of adult animation since its initial launch and we look forward to Matt & David continuing to pave the way and further establishing Hulu as the premiere destination for fans of the genre.”

This is the second time that Futurama has been revived. Comedy Central brought the series back in 2006 after its original run on Fox ended in 2003.

The last season of the sci-fi comedy aired in 2012.

“What I love about animation is that it’s possible for a successful show to take a pause and then resume years later, even on a different platform, and pick up right where it left off. Futurama is one of those shows,” said Marci Proietto, head of 20th Television Animation. “The excitement from Hulu about returning Matt and David’s genius creation for all-new episodes has been off the charts. I’m thrilled that this incredible team will get to tell more stories, and that our Planet Express crew will have more adventures together. It’s a win for the fans who have loved the show since the beginning, and for the ones who will now discover it for the very first time.”

Futurama had one of the best endings I've seen for the show. Pretty decent chance this will be another Scrubs season 9.

Or Arrested Development season 4... then season 5.

Or the Matrix.

Feel free to add to list.

I was at that last game v the cows. I think ye svored a double early in the game, but then just sadly faffed about at full back fir the last 10 minutes or so.
Same. Was at the game and remember shouting, "why did you come back?"

That early episode where they paid homage to (took the piss out of) Willly Wonka is so classic. I think it was the 'Slurm Factory' they visited.

Futurama's following seasons after it's original run I found were pretty poor - particularly those 4 or 5 movies they created that were broken into 4 episodes (to make them episodes rather than a movie). They shouldn't have cancelled the show to being with. Also John DiMaggio MUST BE BENDER. Without him, it won't get renewed further.
