I always remember warren Ryan in his coaching days at the dogs he used to say rugby league was a simple game, only the people around it made it confusing,I tend to agree, assistant coaches, head trainer, trainer assistant etc etc I’m sure some are necessary, but really is it overkill?

It's been a long time since Wok's coached but a similar principle should still apply.
So long as you've got the right people on the coaching staff it shouldn't be a problem.

The question is, are Furner and Ferris “two guys you’d like to take a crack at”?

Many times I've witnessed Wok give the imbecile media (reporters) his piece of mind for complicating things by asking dumb questions...
Till now they still hate him :-)

Craig Bellamy in a recent interview, with Gus actually from memory, was asked the biggest difference between when he started to present and said it was the assistants and staff at his disposal now. He seen it as a positive as it allowed him to concentrate on what he considered most important.

So I guess the answer is who you got around you and how you use them. You can end up with a committee or you can end up with a team.

Bellamy is spot on, let the assistant specialise in what he is good at the coach can focus on other areas. I might be one on one with players for example, if a coach is doing everything then he cant focus on the importance areas
