Opinion Full Metal Racket // Short Fast Loud

Parkway doing metalcore Metallica and S&Ming the Opera House.

They’re unstoppable.

Disturbed release a new track (first one in a while), and still manage to sound like every other Disturbed song. Or if I'm honest theres about 2 or 3 Disturbed songs clearly chopped together.

*Yawn*

...

Meanwhile Architects release most likely "that" skippable track of the album.

MEH

Getting solid Ill Nino and Sevendust vibes from this track (second track not the first one which is their upcoming release track).

I killed the Prom Queen reunion with both Crafter and Jamie. Just need that lunatic Ed Butcher to make an appearance

Jamie was fucking shit lol. Crafter is a shit vocalist but he’s a legend.

Also, IKTPQ kinda garbage

Only really famous for being a little ahead of their time in Australia for 2002.

Hellbound Cruise line up drops tomorrow.

Three night metal cruise departing Sydney Oct 22-25 2026. Prices range from $1500 to $3500 for the entire event.

My gut feeling on line up given its an aussie first is that it will be mainly an all Aussie line up. Parkway, Amity, Polaris etc. I still think they'll need a big international act to really get people to bite.

There's a decent chance I'll go if it's crap. Now days I can't do gigs 'cause it's a shit 3 hour commute to Sydney, followed by mid-strength alcohol that couldn't get a baby pissed, followed by a 3 hour commute back to the Central Coast, followed by my child waking me up at 5am.

3 days on a cruise without the family, with flowing booze and I can sleep whenever I want. Count me in.

When you look at it that way, 3 or 4 nights away from everyone sounds appealing no matter how shit the bands are lol

Pretty MEH to be fair. Majority of those bands are already doing National Pub Tours anyway. All this does is cancel out bands for Good Things and possibly Knotfest if that returns.

For me that's a good thing. The good bands on this lineup I've seen many times before. And that's about 3 bands. The rest are crap. So hopefully next Good Things and Knotfest will have better bands.

Parkway
Polaris
Northlane
The Butterfly Effect
Make Them Suffer
In Hearts Wake
Diamond Construct
Gloom
To The Grave
Windwaker

Lineup is good, not getting me on a fucking metalcore boat though

Knotfest knotvreturn? Aaaaw thats sad

New Parkway Drive dropped over night.

Great music. Lyrics are pretty terrible though. Seems like it was written by the same life coach that writes a lot of the more recent Killswitch Engage music.
