Speaking of Ghost... New song

Straight up opinion.... I like it... and I'm sure on more listens it'll get better. If that's the new direction the bands I think they'll do well.

Really like the hook into the chorus, and how it stays a little heavier with the riff, without being overpowering.

It also explains the shift to Cardinal Copia a bit more... in that the bands going for a more upbeat, almost vaudevillian and borderline camp approach with Copia, as compared to the darkier/doomier feel Papa Emeritus had.

I wonder if some of this is to do with the Grammy win, and wanting to push the band in a more commercial/raido friendly direction, as I can definitely hear that track being played on commercial radio.

Okay metalheads question for those of you who know Killswitch Engage.....

What Howard Jones voiced album of their's is the best...

Or is the answer: ALL?

Or am I better hitting up Devil You Know stuff instead?
Ahhh man, for me The End of Heartache is my favourite KSE album by far!

It has so many killer tracks and lyrically is just so heavy!

It’s one of my favourite albums of all time...

And off that album listen to “Rose of Sharyn” with a copy of the lyrics close by.....its about Howards mum who died of cancer.

That song is fucking amazing.

Btw, forgot to mention but Jesse Leach confirmed that Howard Jones will be doing vocals on at least one track of the new album.

One of my favorite KSE songs. Even more so these days as my mum also died of cancer a couple years ago.
So sorry to hear that man, I lost my mum in 04 very suddenly, still burns....

This song just hits me hard.

Just finished listening to the entire album ... WOW .. it is brilliant....

Heavy, technical, fun, and literally all over the place... Very punk/ska-esque and hooky. Tracks are long enough without dragging on.

Mold - Lots of sampling, groovy in parts, elements of chorus very similar to We Need a Gimmick.
The Many Faces of Dr Hubert Malbec - Insane intro. Unexpected and launches straight into it after a few seconds.
Row - A number of tempo changes, synth solo. Not the heaviest track, groovy.
Dressed as Goblins - title track, great song.
Dragons - chip tune, rather bizzare shift, direction change, really starts to rock, has you bopping your head along.
Thanks for Nothing Moon - Synth driven, huge expanse, huge tempo shift.
The Skin Thief - Harpiscord going hard, blast beats, church bell samples, and synth solos.
Darkness - clean vocals, Catchy as hell..
The Magic Spider - A truly bizzare track. Couldn't stop laughing it's just so absurd vocally and lyrically. Steel drums. All over the place.
Killing Time (and Space) - Banjo, piano accordian, epic synth solo that changes tempo midway through.
Goblins - Anthematic / heavy ballard track

I don't know why but I want to punch the singer in the throat.
I think someone beat you to it based on his harsh vocals!

Re Avatar, everything I'd read tends to indicate the album is a real miss.

Nekrogoblikons new one I'm loving... listened to ait a second time around today and it's just such a well structured album... everything just works.

Listened to about half of the Avatar album so far. I'm enjoying it. It's completely random and downright weird but fun.

Latest Tremonti track is out. A complete and utter disappointment. Meh/10

Initial signs for this album aren't good, after All I Was, Cauterize and Dust being brilliant.

Maybe just bene spoiled by 3 really solid albums in the past.

@Hacky McAxe has Nekrogoblikons D-d-d-d-d-d-DARKNESSsssssss got stuck in your head yet?

New A Perfect Circle.

I’ve never been much of a fan of APC but this song hits my peaks of weird melodic Prog and a tribute to my favourite writer.

Not gonna listen as I want to listen to the whole album in a couple of days, but ...

I am not sure we can be friends now Hacky.

Their first 2 albums are some of the best albums ever. I hate the stupid covers album though.

I have very high hopes for Eat the Elephant... don't let me down Maynard.
