Foran is finished, kaput, goneskis.

You can tell by his last 2 performances that he hasnt secured a contract for next season and beyond. He is afraid of getting injured again because he knows its definitely sayonara.

It's not like he is on minimum wage like Chase Stanley.

Time to move on....we need experience in the halves for a year? Worst case scenario sign up Blake Green for a year on a quarter of what Foran is on and you will get more bang for your buck

The ship has sailed with Foran.....get over it

Foran is flying under the radar.

If we had a coach with a set of balls Averillo would be in the halves and we would have signed a proper centre.

But at this point, even if he gets back to full fitness, what does it achieve? We can't make the finals. Why not try and get something in return for him?
Foran isn’t the problem.we don’t have any go forward.our forwards are terrible.our defence is shot.

Why not? We're paying him regardless and he's not providing value for money. If you get a young player from another club that can help us now and in the future then where is the risk and what's the harm? It won't cost us anything next season..

We lose by thirty every second game with Foran, we score 10.8 points a game and we're 1-6 with no chance of making the finals...

So why keep Foran and Tolman with the sinking ship and lose them for nothing next year when we can get something for them now?
I thought that both Foran and Tolman were off contract at the end of this 2020 season.

It looks like our club made a big mistake with Ramien another 1 or 2K we may have had him.

They are. Keeping them for the last 13 games doesn't help us so why not try and get two players in return for this year and beyond?

Thompson is Tolman's replacement. Tolman will not be re-signed and he will retire unless he finds a gig in the English Super League.

In regards to Foran, there is a lot going on in the back office. We need an experienced halve and the back office is at war with each other over Foran and Reynolds. Half the mob wants Reynolds for 1 year only, while the other mob are against bringing Reynolds back and want Foran for an additional year.

All these "prospective coaches", there is truth to them, BUT they have extinguished the club on the spot. They do not want the job, if they dont have a competitive spine. The thing is, the cattle that is required just isn't there, and these coaches will not place there legacy and egos on the line.

The mob in the back office do not wish to extend Pay, but the problem is they cannot lure the coaches they want to the club. They are "waiting and hoping" that a "class" player falls out with their current clubs so they can try and pounce on them which could entice an experienced coach at the club. I personally cannot see this happening.

No cards are falling into place, and it could be very likely that the club will have no other choice than to extend Pay for another year
Looks like 2021 will be another lean year.. no other choice but re-signing pay is not an option in my opinion. Good Boards don't hope for things to just fall into place, good boards make things happen by any means necessary.. keeping pay is just not an option in my opinion and it will cost the board and our club dearly..

People hammer Wakeham and Lewis etc but let's address the Elephant in the room.. Foran has been a passenger in most games he's played this year and is not playing like a star half or a million dollar player.

He's deffering to Wakeham and Lewis like he's the inexperienced half, not them... He doesn't cop the blame from the media or fanbase whereas lesser players do.

We're going to come bottom three this season regardless of whether we have Foran in the team or not.

He's not helping the team out and looks like he doesn't want to be there. The Tigers and several other teams would take him off our hands in a mid season move by paying a small portion of his deal.

Do you think they should move him on this season and try and get a player swap with another club or would you rather keep him til the end of the season?

Either way, surely he's proven beyond any doubt that he's not deserving of another deal next season. Even when he plays he doesn't have an impact on the game anymore.
His kick was the only reason we scored a point last night. Just say in.

The majority of the forum do not see the underlying problems and issues.

There are "some" valid points about Pay's coaching abilities (I have issues with his team selections) but Pay is not the number 1 problem.

As they say, to be successful your front house has to be in order.

Last board royally fucked up our cap. Not only did they fuck up our cap, they discarded Ennis and Graham like rubbish! The club CAPTAINS! Add to that, the favourite sons like Reynolds and Pritchard. All in the open public! What effect does this have on "potential" recruits?

In comes the new board, and they take the hard school no non-sense approach. They practically put the entire squad "FOR SALE". Woods had what a handfull of games and got shafted! Mbye fiasco and so on. Now FORGET about how good or bad these players are, look at the KNOCK ON EFFECT it creates! Instead of doing it quietly "in house" they leaked it to the media to get rid of them sooner rather than later.

Look at all these issues over the course of the last 5-6 years, and you as a player, what would you be thinking???

Another issue is that we have developed sweet fuck all over the last 5-6 years. Who has cracked NRL on a consistent basis during that time? Elliott, To'omaga, and Averillo???

Dib board and the Anderson board have both fucked up.

If people cannot see the issues which has been created over the last 5-6 years, i unfortunately cannot help them.

The only answer is a new board with no relations or connections to Board Dib & Board Anderson.
I hated the signing of Woods but i must admit the way they got rid of him was disgraceful

I would try to offload Foran and get in Benjy in for the remainder of the year, shouldn't cost much considering its only 4 months to end of contract year.

Imagine arguing over Foran and Reynolds, what a bunch of incompetent twats. Sure we need experience but neither of those two guys are anywhere near the right fit.

It also puts doubt into new recruits mind, that they can ship them off at any time, and with Chn , not back their players when shit hits the fan.
We are only a family club bullshit when its suits their narrative
Woods and klemmer were family...is this how we treat family, divide them ??

For the short term (1-2 years), which experienced halve do you propose?

Looking at experienced off contract players this year, there is only;
Foran
Benji Marshall
Blake Green

Re-sign him for another year for around the $500k mark and reassess the Halves market for the year after.

Win/win for Foran and the club.
