The decline of Kieran Foran is a real shame. At 28 years of age, you’d expect he’d still have his best years ahead of him. A mixture of poor form, personal issues and injury concerns have him on verge of retirement though.

After twobelow-parr seasons at the Eels and Warriors, many thought a return to Sydney would bring the best out of Foran yet again. However; Foran became the Bulldogs’ second big name signing to fail miserably.

Before a season ending injury struck him down in Round 13, Foran was in career-worst form, which was unthinkable at the time given his form in previous seasons being so disappointing for Parramatta and New Zealand fans alike.

Hopefully, Foran can sort out his mental health, get his injury issues sorted and return to top flight in 2019 – which is something that is looking highly unlikely at this point in time.

Are you serious? Ben Hunt has lost all confidence, but did more in the first half of the year than Foran has in his past three seasons combined.

Reynolds has had a bad run with injury too, but is young, put in a few decent performances and offers his side way more going forward than Foran offers us. Even Bird is still young and may yet turn things around.

I think it’s relative to salary. Tony Williams is being paid peanuts so has come into the season with low expectations. Where as Bird at 1 mil played shit when he was on the park and is now injured.

The difference between Reynolds is he’s not totally broken physically and mentally like Foran and in his limited appearances this year he has shown he can still win his team some games. He’s also on considerably less than Doran (although still probably a bit too much) Forsn well and truly trumps him in the dud buy stakes. We could have held on to Reynolds for a fair bit less than we’re paying Foran and he would have offered us more. Or we could have just let him go and gone in a different direction, but to let Reynolds go to sign a player who offers less for more money was truly idiotic.

Reynolds bad run of injury is probably saving him from getting the no 1 spot

I disagree.. the best halves bring something that can't be coached.. Reynolds doesn't have that and we can't just say it's a coach issue.. plus he has a short fuse which cost us on many occasion
a sidelined Foran is still more effective than Mbye
