If Blake Green is still available next year we should have a serious look at him. Not at the expense of a talented young player but if Foran is out of the picture Greens experience would be very beneficial to younger halves.
His touches in the attacking zone compare very favourably with the top flight halves.
This article suggests so at least.

Given his age a one year deal might be attractive to him similar to the Stuart or Kimorley recruitment of the past.
Green is older and less talented than Foran.
Surely a step backwards?

Click on the link and compare their touches in the opposition 20 towards the bottom of the page. Foran looks lazy in comparison. Of course stats don't tell everything but interesting to look at. Good article to read if only to see what the top halves are doing. Cleary is very impressive with his involvement.

One's a five-eighth, one's a halfback. I know who I want as my five-eighth. Green being one of the only experienced halves available is a big reason why I'm for re-signing Foran for the right price and length.

Eye test is subjective, but for me it favours Foran over Green even more than the stats do. No harm using a combination of both.

I don't want Green, but has anyone mentioned he and Barrett's relationship? Didn't they end in bad terms at Manly? Could've sworn Green kicked a storm at training wanting to leave, to the point Barrett had no choice to let him go.

I'm sure that was Green.

Not sure what that means, but

Foran
-more tries
-more try savers
-more try assists
-more tackles
-more tackle breaks
-more metres gained
-less penalties conceded
-less sin bins

Green
-less errors
-more offloads (getting caught?)
-more 40/20's
-more kick metres
-more forced drop outs

We already struggle to score points...

If Foran wants more than a year I can't see the club agreeing. Suggesting Green as a single year option only.

Yeah I shouldnt have said useless for Wakeham lol. He deserves another shot.
He will get another shot at some point and I think Baz will be a good coach for him. I always said it will be a lot harder for Wakeham to transition to NRL because of his physical limitations and lack of running game...pretty much all coaches would rather a youngster with a running game that's more physically gifted just because it's easier to ease them in and add to their game over time.

Will be interesting to see what happens..Wakehams extension was officially announced after the Baz announcement..was that because the club held back on announcements or because the club waited on Baz to make the call?

FCUK Foran and Green.

Burton/Wakeham/Lewis/Avo... Let Barrett work his magic and we shall choose from there.
6 - Averillo
7- Burton

The problem is experience and we're praying we can sign Burton. If we end up with playing a combination of the other three (if we can't sign Burton), that alone is probably enough for us to not make the eight next year.

I'd be re-signing Foran, I'd just feel a lot more comfortable, but that's just me.

Yeah agreed, we need to put some time into the younger fellas, stay away from Green imo.
Burton and Wakeham/Avo for mine. Wakeham will need to improve a bit but think Barrett will bring the best out of him. Well hoping anyway.
Avo needs the ball in his hands more.

I'm all for Foran staying, but there's a much much bigger picture here.

The club needs to set the precident for the future. We can't be taken for a ride anymore, and anyone suggesting that we should sign him up for 3 years is fucking mental.

He's yet to play a full season for us. When playing he's purposely playing below his ability and without complete commitment because of his injury.

What had he done to justify us having 400k off our salary cap for the next 3 years?

By taking this step the club is sending the signal to all and sundry we won't be taken for a ride anymore.

If Foran is serious then great. Sign on for a year and we'll add an automatic one year extension based on how many games he's played.

If not? The club moves forward on OUR grounds

We won 2 games this year, so u never know. Not much of a target to catch.
Unlike u retarts, u really think barret has not got it sorted already.
No foran, no lewis and no cogger unless injuries.
People on here are sooooooooowwwwww slow.
Again with 'retart'. You'd think you'd learn after three times since people have pointed it out.
