Nope

There is a penalty try & 8 point try.

An 8 point try is when an illegal act happens after the try is scored & that's when you get an extra kick in front of the sticks.

That should have been a penalty! He hit him and made absolutely no attempt to wrap his arms around.
I remember seeing heaps of penalties where the player doesn't wrap his arms around the kicker and hold on as their going down.
