The NRL released figures the other day disputing that players in general are under any more fatigue than they were in 2019. They now claim more tries = more stoppages / rests for players etc.

Are they really that stupid that they actually believe it's just a mere coincidence that there's a massive rise in player injuries and dangerous tackles while we're breaking long standing records for scorelines each and every week ? (because it's not the same game)

Yes in a whole 80 minute game players may not be running more metres in total but AT TIMES they are because of the 6 agains and reduction in penalties. You don't have to be a rocket scientist to work that out surely.

Suddenly players have gone from defending for 6 tackles to sometimes having to defend for anything between 7 and 15 or more in a row placing them under huge fatigue for those SHORT PERIODS time and time again. That's mainly where the errors in tackling technique and injuries happen surely.

Get someone to analyse game footage of all major injuries / illegal tackles in each and every game and check what happened in the lead up to that incident. What the NRL doesn't have someone with access to all footage who can do that ?

It has to relate to 6 agains.

We've become too much like touch footy. I'd also like to see a short stoppage of 6 agains for analysis purposes (even for a few seconds at least) enabling a possible captain's challenge of those decisions because at the moment refs can rightly or wrongly influence periods of games with no real questioning of those decisions.
