Ezra claims racism

Some people just don't know how to read a room. To carry on the narrative that the Mam situation is anything like the Adam Goodes one defies belief. Mam is seen as someone who was given a big hall pass in being allowed to play at all this season after what he did by way of breaking heaven knows how many road rules, and the subsequent punishment handed to him. The booing actually began before he even returned to the field when his face was shown on the big screen at Magic round IN QUEENSLAND....

He is not the only one to have been afforded this treatment by fans who are unhappy that certain things done by certain players are allowed to go with little or no punishment. Matt Lodge. Tino; they are not indigenous but have done things that were not above board that displeased fans.

To be honest, it's not my thing. I went to the games live where loltrell and Tina got booed every touch of the ball. Couldn't be bothered doing it, I'd rather just support our team instead of using up energy for booing every touch. If fans want to do it what ever but it just fires them up if anything.

I‘m waiting for the day Tino gets suspended for using a forearm to the head of a tackler. Should have already happened. Thug.

Agree. Waste of lungs. Need 'em for cheering your own team :grinning:

I still can’t get my head around the time he broke API’s jaw doing just that and the NRL response…. No case to answer, after having been fined twice before in the same season for shots to the head of Reed Mahoney RD 12 and Katoa from the Storm RD 1.Their justification for the fact that he doesn’t get pulled up more often… as an attacker he has the right to brace and defend himself……

That incident astounded me to dogluva. A players is allowed to fend with an open hand When a player comes from side on. However I can’t see that raIsing a forearm to the head of a defender should be legal. There is a big difference between bracing for contact and attacking the defenders head. Shows how weak some sections of the NRL such as the MRP are.

No one booed Pearce after his misdemeanors with a maltese terrier. We laughed. And barked a little too.

No idea why journos think we're all idiots. Plain as day what the issue is. Hang on - actually, they must have read the Anasta narrative thread.

Carry on then Journos.... :tearsofjoy: :tearsofjoy: :tearsofjoy:

There were Broncs fans that were disappointed he wasn't stood down for the rest of the season as well.

Being booed in Brisbane..even Magic Round, is pretty telling, that standards weren't met regarding Mam by broncos management or NRL.

League public think the punishment was inadequate. Hence the booing.

That’s true wendog but that would spoil the narrative that is being created that he has been singled out because he is indigenous. I couldn’t care less if someone is red, green, yellow or blue, male or female, Chinese, Irish, Indian or Inuit. It is what the person had done not who they are. Human beings are a strange lot, they have opinions which they form on the basis of what goes on around a certain subject and they exercise that opinion in many ways whether it be the written form, the spoken form or any other non-verbal communication to voice their disapproval.

Imagine thinking that people booing you are for racist reasons instead of just being a shit **** person and criminal lol...

It is even sadder this his team mates defend this prick, wonder how their tune would be if he done what he did to their family...

Their supporters defend this prick! As long as he’s winning for them, cocks in their mouths silent

Some fucking idiot threw a bottle at Mam!

Now its gonna make our supporter base look shit again.
How do they even know it was thrown at Mam? It didnt hit him and it didnt have his name on it. A single bottle thrown onto the field is quite common. The media push to align Mam with Goodes is fkn disgraceful. Im pretty sure Goodes didnt get all coked up and drive unlicensed and cause a car accident…then get a slap on the wrist.

Its very hypocritical isnt it....?

I mean, in most tackle situations, the attacker is running with more forward velocity and momentum than the defender, so if anyone is bracing for impact, its the defender.

This is especially the case during kick-off, and returning the ball from kicks and drop-outs.

If the NRL wants players to abide by "duty of care", they need to apply it to all cases.
