Huddersfield have released former Warriors, Knights and Broncos prop James Gavet who is returning to Australia.

The 31-year-old prop played 21 games in the Super League but could now become a late option for a club looking to fill their roster before the August 1 deadline.

“He’s going to be going back home,” Huddersfield coach Ian Watson said.

“It’s something he has to do and he feels is the right thing to be doing at this moment in time. James might come out and explain that but that’s for James.

“He has been brilliant with the club, really honest about the situation, so we’ve known this was coming anyway.”

August 1 round the corner. Any takers?

Notice they never listed former Canterbury player probably because he only ever played one game in first grade in 2012.
More so at the end of his career now and has had a few judiciary visits for high shots and shoulder charge. Would he really benefit our side this late in the season and considering we have no vacancies anyway ( otherwise surely we would have signed TPJ for the rest of 2021) is a bit of a moot point.
