Soccer English Premier League Banter Thread

Wirtz is a huge signing for Liverpool but considering City's holes in the squad, I'm happy with Reijnders, Ait-Nouri and Cherki instead, for the same amount.

For the first time in years it seems like smart moves by City and not overpaying. Maybe Viana taking over is making a difference.

Cherki looks phenomenal. If we get him, Pep better not turn him into another tiki-taka robot and sap the creativity out of him. Cherki looks like he doesn't care though and will try any trick

have a feeling the club will become toxic if there's no immediate impact with Frank in charge
Players say what they say but have heard Frank is very personal with the squad and invests in their personalities similar to ange so if Levy gives him time (which everyone knows he won't) its fine but if or when we fail in Europe then he's under BIG pressure

was more referring to your fans

Brentford conceded almost the most goals of any team outside of the relegated ones but also scored at a pretty high rate for their talent. Surely his style won’t fix Tott immediately.
He will have a better squad as well and even if we sell Romero we will be capable defensively

won't happen unless they actually invest heavily in the transfer market to catch up to city, Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal

Palmer is grossly overrated. Needs to step up and be consistent

He's one of the most talented players in the league. He is inconsistent but part of that is not much attacking help around him at Chelsea so defences mark him heavily. He's still very young. This is a big year for him but few have the quality, skill and vision that he has.
