NRL 2020: Warriors sign Kane Evans, Bulldogs lock in Adam Elliott
Michael Carayannis, The Daily Telegraph
August 12, 2020 11:29am

Adam Elliott has knocked back a rich offer from the Warriors to ink a three-year contract extension with the Bulldogs while Kane Evans will join the New Zealand-based side.

The injured back-rower was pursued by the Warriors and St George Illawarra but has opted to remain in Belmore under incoming coach Trent Barrett.

Elliott, 25, has played 83 top-grade games since making his debut for the club in 2016 but won’t play again this season because of a shoulder injury.
While the Warriors missed out on Elliott they have signed Eels prop Kane Evans for the next two years to go with Euan Aitken’s arrival at the club next year.

If he knocked back a "rich offer", then how much did they re-sign him for? And three years is one year too many.

The fact that they keep tying up cap space on the existing squad and still aren't addressing the spine is a concern.

Deadset you have a chance to get pangai and you sign Elliott.... do we want to change where we sit the last 4 years? If not extend Tolman holland montoya jmk and the other fucking duds and just go for back to back to back spoons.

Elliott is average as fuck and has had maybe 5 good games in a few years. He’s caused issues on the piss (so don’t give me the good guy speech to prioritise him over a pangai)

It’s not a knock on Elliott he’s a handy player at a fair price. Though that fair price is likely less than he was already on!

Pangai at 650k is a fucking must. We need this type of forward. We have enough Jackson, Elliott, Stimson type forwards ffs.

Ogden is our closest to pangai and he’s no where near there.

We need him urgently if we want to change our future.

I’m all for a half and hooker though here’s our Napa replacement. Make it happen.

Most awesome news. Nice to know Barrett understands Elliott’s value. He’ll do some very good things for us over the next few years. I feel like hugging a stranger. Stupid COVID :/

he is a quality player and with the addition of more quality players will only enhance his game imo. We cant afford to lose him after losing CHW.

Yes no not. Pending he gets off on the charges. Yes a gun player. What do you suggest. We continue to sign choir boys?
You want us to sign Jack De Belin?
