how’s averillo under the high ball tho? eek
So if it was suppose to be kept secret and this rag isn't lying... who's the rat.Canterbury has dumped star fullback Matt Dufty for Friday night’s big match against premiers Penrith.
Dufty was selected at fullback on Tuesday night but has been told he won’t play unless there is a late injury.
He will now be pushed back to either 18th or 19th man.
The Bulldogs coaching staff are yet to name a replacement although News Corp has been told Corey Allan will play fullback for the BlueBet Stadium game.
Canterbury management was hoping to keep their decision on Dufty in-house until an hour before kick-off.
Multiple sources have however confirmed the former Dragons fullback would be demoted.
The demise of Dufty — off contact after this season — comes just days after a bold performance against St George Illawarra where he logged three try assists but committed two errors. He polled one Dally M point.
Allan has just returned from injury and seems the logical replacement although winger Josh Addo-Carr could be moved to fullback.
A former Souths player, Allan scored a try in Canterbury’s 40-22 loss to St George Illawarra in the NSW Cup last Sunday at Belmore.
Allan was originally named on the reserve list for the Panthers match in jumper number 22.
There was a suggestion Dufty could leave mid-season for England but that speculation was firmly denied on Wednesday afternoon.
The Bulldogs hope Dufty can fight back from this setback and play a role in the NRL side over the back-end of this season.
I'd love to see JAC @ FB. Unleash him on both sides of the field. Could be the world's best support player too.Jake at fullback? Hes already been in the deep end in the halves and failed. Give him some shallower water for a while, it will do his confidence good. He wasnt ready for halves, and isnt ready for fb. Personally id like to see JAC get a run there. It fits my dream that he would be great at FB and be able to Captain from there. Wingers are shit Captains, they can old talk to half the team most of the match. And he strikes me as the best Captain replacement for Jackson
Great work. Thanks bro!ill try to break it down
Asked about his expectations- secure as many wins as possible and front up each week and not forward planning.
His main issue was defence- his goal is getting the defence better, the edge and middles working together. Goal line defence has been disgraceful and we cant let 30 points in. He said teams will see this but they have addressed this this week.
He said we allow ill disciplined errors which obviously effects our fitness. We all start even but then we allow the other team to have 60% possession. They will be working on fitness and getting fitter over the coming weeks. Mainly worried about the Cheap points and they have addressed it again this week
Happy with attack but like defence they all need work together.
i am assuming this is why Dufty was sacked due to online defence and errors, they never asked that question. He seems to making everyone accountable unlike Barrett, so if we lose id expect a change or 2 again.
Potter or Don Gustavo?Go potter finally someone with some balls
Usually when signing shit players, we get surprised if they perform better than expected. What a terrible signing, my bar for Dufty was so low and he couldn't even reach that... this dropping is long overdue... a few more players in the 17 that need the same treatment too...
I thinkNo because I knew when the pic was uploaded and I can't maintain a boner for 20 hours. Also feeling stressed at all the defence I'll have to do on here when he drops a bomb or misses a tackle
You could be right about him not being ready for FB, but the season is gone, happy to give him a crack before weakening our 1 strength which is an elite winger. If Avo doesn’t work out there, try something else until we find something that isn’t atrocious. Burto might be able to help bring the best out of avo at FB. He can certainly help him train under the highest balls in league. The 1 jersey is up for grabs next year and I think it will be nice to see people compete for it for the rest of the year.Jake at fullback? Hes already been in the deep end in the halves and failed. About time they dropped him, useless.
Yep, I have said for the last 2 years I would like to see him at FB and instead every other caarnt was tried there.. It should suit him defensivley and the extra space to run.I think the position he is most suited too....imagine he kills it!
Fuck your defence!!!No because I knew when the pic was uploaded and I can't maintain a boner for 20 hours. Also feeling stressed at all the defence I'll have to do on here when he drops a bomb or misses a tackle
Looks like we have 3 fullbacksLooks like Averillo is in at fullback this week, allan in right centre.View attachment 52389
"Fullback money" hahahahahahahaha closer to half full back money.I'd like to see jac at fb, at least for part of the game. If he goes well, another part of the spine fixed. He is on fb money. Easier cheaper to get another winger.
That's the wizard of oz you're thinking about . . .Not santaWell ask santa for brains, balls and heart for the whole team...Well except Kiraz
Hello hello@Mutt Dafty ’s cock is so erect rn
Not really any extra space though because our fullback just plays as a right sided 5/8. Only time Dufty left that position was for a late set run through the ruck or the once a game inside ball Burton would throw to him lol.Yep, I have said for the last 2 years I would like to see him at FB and instead every other caarnt was tried there.. It should suit him defensivley and the extra space to run.
